Went for a birthday lunch with my childhood friend. We celebrated with their Pina Colada and they brought a small cake thing for her. Everything was delicious, clean and a great experience. Thanks
Very friendly and nicely decorated Columbian restaurant with helpful staff. Our meals were delicious and very generously portioned. We were unfamiliar with the cuisine so don't know how it compares to other Columbian food but we were quite happy. If ever in the area again we would go back for sure.
Overall - wow! This was our second visit, an impromptu dinner out on a Friday evening. First, even the water was good - served in a carafe, and definitely not plain old tap water (Thank you! Other restaurants have a lot to learn.). The non-alcoholic pina coladas were delicious and loaded with fresh coconut. The presentation in a carved-out pineapple with a little umbrella and 2 fresh pineapple rings was a sight to behold. The food was superb, beginning with the hot, cheesy buns. When I told the waiter I wanted to eat something "authentic," (sorry - what I meant was "traditional") he suggested the Bandeja paisa. It was a huge platter of beef steak, chorizo, beans, rice, fried egg, plantains, fresh avocado, and chicharrón (fried pork belly). What I enjoy about Columbian cuisine is how the food is seasoned. There is a richness of flavor that is not overdone - It's balanced, blended, savory. Everything was delicious on its own and combined well with the other items. My dining buddy enjoyed the Patacon de la casa: Fried plantain loaded with shredded chicken, beef, cheese, bacon and more (I can't remember!). We both brought home 1/2 of our entrees, and we were too full for dessert. Next time!
Everything was great but a little pricey in my opinion. The employees are so nice and attentive. The first time we went one of the servers came over and had a friendly conversation with us which was nice. I like it for a quick bite after shopping or something.
When looking for a place to make lunch reservations Mis Raices popped up on my search. I had never dined here before so I had to give it a try. Especially because it is a Latin and I always get excited when there is a new one to try in the Lehigh Valley. I loved the food! Great prices for the portion of food received. They offer both breakfast and lunch menus tons of great meals to choose from. Can not wait to go back and try something else. Best part is they have a bakery!
I am sorry to say that dinner here was underwhelming. Just not very good. Perhaps for others it's a great option but for my husband and me, not so much. We were there with friends and we tried their dishes as well. Very bland, overcooked. Not much to say about it. Sorry.
Had the south of the border Benedict and my friend had the Columbian Waffle. Both were delicious. The Benedict came with a side of potatoes which were cooked perfectly with onions and peppers. And for a healthy surprise, they served a little salad with it. Perfect touch. The waffle was so so good. It’s a bit rich so might want to share entrees…one sweet and o e savory. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu.Server was pleasant and knowledgeable.

This place is infested with roaches and various insects. I found beetles in my burritos. The urinal in the men's bathroom had human feces in it. I think someone may have urinated on the wall in the bathroom as well. Overall very disgusting place i would not send my worst enemy to this restraunt.

The white rice wasn't the best , being in a Spanish restaurant the white rice should be the number 1 item tasting very good , it was very mushy and tasteless , everything else was good
Hopefully they will get better.Food: steak bland & tough, empanadas cold ( did not seem home made) plantains tasty, chicken looked tasty but bland even though pork was ordered. Rice was tasty and soup was ok.I did say something to a young man about the food.Service: the waitress was nice, did not speak English so could not explain the menu, so I looked up some of the menu items online.Atmosphere: nice looking place, love the cemented-brick walls.Might try again some other time. ?
