I don’t go here often, but every time I do, I really enjoy the atmosphere—it’s super cool and chill. The music is always on point and makes it a nice spot to hang out or study. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but overall it’s a good vibe!

I always look forward to coming to Saxby's !! Their coffees and flavors are so good I always come here as a treat :) today i got a peppermint mocha with raspberry flavor and it was so tasty.. a lot of other coffee shops don't bother to mix the mocha so it condenses at the bottom, but of course not Saxby's baristas + they even sprinkled some crushed candy canes on the top!!! auuuu 😭😭❤️this highkey is the best peppermint mocha ive had !!

Delicious coffee, the best grilled cheese on earth, and a positive study environment! Yet these are not the things which impress me most about Saxbys:
For my first three years as a Lehigh undergraduate, I thought Saxbys was just another overpriced coffee chain in the area with locations everywhere.
What I did not know is that Saxbys' mission is to employ students (like myself) nearly exclusively, from its day-to-day ventures to its team leads! Saxbys Lehigh is one of the newer locations, one of the few out of a few dozen which is still aiming to officially partner with the university to completely integrate as a work-study and student leadership experience.
Even in this early stage, Saxbys upholds a leadership experience for students, almost more impressively as it rarely boasts itself as such. Not only this, but Saxbys is a Certified B Corporation, meaning it is "a for-profit company that has been verified by B Lab as meeting high standards for social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability."
In spending my last couple months on the team, I have genuinely appreciated Saxbys so much more for its authentic mission and the aim it has to uplift students and the community. There are hundreds of small interactions that are a part of peoples' daily routines, as well as gratuity offered to at-risk community members, that may feel invisible to an outsider coming in for the first time, but are readily apparent the moment you walk in and really account for Saxbys' dedication to be a community cornerstone.

Vegetarian options: The smoothies are all vegetarian, the drinks are all vegetarian, and the food menu offers complete vegetarian and vegan options!
Dietary restrictions: There are gluten-free options for many of the food items and all of the drinks as well! Allergens are handled with extreme care. It is important to let the host know if anyone in your party has an allergy or dietary restriction, and all hosts are trained to be knowledgeable in answering concerns. There is also a full allergen and nutrition guidebook available online for Saxbys as well as on-site.
Parking: There are about seven paid parking spots in front of the restaurant. If you are in a rush, you can park in these spots for ten minutes with your hazards and have complete view of your car through the front windows as you grab your coffee.
Kid-friendliness: The environment is quiet, welcoming, and calm for children.
Wheelchair accessibility: Completely accessible by wheelchair! There are no ramps needed to enter the cafe. Additionally, the cafe is extremely spacious and allows easy mobility and seating options in any part of the room.

Trying to reduce waste and this place does not offer dine in cups. It is unfortunate that to drink a cup of coffee here we have to send a cup and lid to a landfill unnecessarily. Hope this changes so environment lovers like me can enjoy too.
