Well as someone who used to go to NOLA 2-4 times a year on business I can honestly say I was not impressed with much about this place. It was nice the staff was friendly and the food prompt. However, the food is not comparable to what is served in New Orleans. My favorite thing was the fried green tomatoes, buttermilk fried chicken and the corn bread. We also had ribs and they were good but nothing like New Orleans BBQ. New Orleans BBQ is sweet and hot. These ribs were not. The sauce was mesquite flavored and they were Beef not Pork. The beignets were horrifying. Beignets are very light and airy and these were super heavy and dense. That is NOT a beignet. I was so disappointed about that. The Onion soup had very thick rings in it which is also not acceptable by New Orleans standards. The buttermilk battered fried chicken was good and juicy but nothing insanely out of this world. BUT the voodoo sauce is very good to dip it in. I truly enjoyed the cornbread which was thick, moist and buttery. The fried green tomatoes are good enough that I'd go back just for them. They have a nice drink selection with specialty drinks on the menu. I did not try any. So all in all it's just a place that calls themselves the Bayou but in no way actually tastes like anything you'll eat on the Bayou or anywhere in the city of New orleans or the state of Louisiana. It was really a sad day in the meal department but a nice time with family, Big portions, lovely atmosphere and prompt service. Wish I had better things to say.

The food was extremely spicy got French onion suit even that was spicy. I would have preferred to have some things that were not as spicy as they were I used to get grits and shrimp at the other by you and it didn't have jalapenos in it. Also the noise level in there was extremely high

We had an amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a smile from hostess Brooke. Rachel was our waitress and took care of all of our needs. She went above and beyond to explain the history of the restaurant. We munched on cornbread and fried cauliflower as appetizers. So delicious we had to order another cornbread to go! Everyone was thrilled with their meals. So happy we have leftovers to warm up tonight. Can't wait to come back!

I like the atmosphere of this place; nicer than a casual pub, but not stuffy. The waitstaff is polite. There is a nice outdoor patio. Had it not been pouring rain we would have dined al fresco.
The brisket Mac and Cheese is delicious. Their servings are pretty generous.
