Craig the bartender, drinks and beer selection are an A++Food is inedible. Seriously. They were out of half of the appetizers the day we were there. The appetizers we did order were AWFUL. This used to be my favorite place. New owners have ruined it. It's so sad.
Excellent location. Very fun. Set inside an older, reconfigured bank, the layout is cool yet familiar. They even have the vault open for viewing. The food was great. Came out fast, very flavorful, and had a few vegan and vegetarian options. The server was super friendly and helpful. The owner checked on us while we were eating. Highly recommended to stop in and give them a try. It's definitely a local gem. The tots were excellent! The vegan/vegetarian options are more than just a salad which is always good to see.
Vegetarian options: Had a few good options that weren't just salad.
Amazing experience, the server was very sweet and helpful. The food was surprisingly good, tasted all fresh and well made. The music and the ambience was perfect for a Sunday dinner. I will definitely come back.
Their menu has labeled vegan options, and the option to add marinated tofu to anything. We enjoyed mixed drinks, hummus, ramen and the Asian salad. Our only complaints were the service was slow the evening we went, and the Asian salad was not super filling. Curious to return and try the Mac and Cheese!
Great place .. outdoor patio seating also food was good . Drinks were just ok but food & atmosphere made up for poorly made drinks…
Great Food, Great Vegan Choices, great beer and nice place. Definitely bigger inside since the remodel. Outside tables available. In photo Vegan Mac n Cheese and Shrimp Po Boy and The Crisp #lager
Our waitress was amazing!!! Super attentive! The Mac n cheese, spicy creole pasta and pork belly were so savory!! The John Doe cocktail so delicious! Highly recommend!
The Mint was recently purchased by a big restauranteur and I have to say, I was expecting more, considering the other restaurants they own. The food is mediocre at The Mint now and don’t expect it to be quick. The bar service is fantastic and nobody makes a better cocktail but the spirit of the restaurant is gone. It is obvious that there is no love or care in the food, hopefully they will get the hint and start trying to make something interesting and exciting that makes the Mint a gem in the West side again!!Take out food took over an hour to get and since I was waiting at the bar for it as soon as it came out I took it home. Quick 2 minute drive since I live in the neighborhood. By the time I got it home it was all hard and dried out as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp. Chicken taco meat was nearly impossible to bite threw and the cheese on the Mac n cheese was nearly cold. Disappointing and expensive, not worth it the wait or the $. Will still go for drinks but would not recommend the food.
The atmosphere was very nice and the menu was extensive and interesting, however. The reality was that they have major growing pains. They were out of one the easiest menu items,:chicken. They hade trouble supporting our table of 4 people. They delivered two of the meals after 1/2 hour of ordering them but they took another 1/2 hour to deliver the other two meals. Their comment was that it took longer to make pasta. We tried to get our check so we could leave but our waiter was missing. I had to go into the kitchen to get him. In total, it took over 3 hours from start to finish for our meal. This is a restaurant that I will reluctantly cross off our list.
New owners have a lot of work to do.My wife and I were twice a month regulars at the old Mint. We were excited to try it after they reopened. What a let down.We had to wait 15 minutes for drinks - our waiter didn’t give us a cocktail menu when seated and took a long time to get them to us once ordered. The bar staff was on top of drinks from what I could see on my side of the cheap plastic grass I had to pull my table away from to not get poked in the eye.The waiter got us drinks, took appetizer and dinner orders - we had plenty of time waiting to decide both. The pork belly appetizer was dry, overcooked and flavorless - not a speck of seasoning other than the dollop of mystery sauce each piece had. The calamari was like an oil sponge. Both apps had zero presentation. The cheesesteak my wife ordered had all the charm and flavor one could expect from a Wawa cheesesteak - just sliced on a bias because, y’know the Mint is super high class thanks to the TikTok decor and a diagonal sandwich. My medium burger was raw in some parts, greasy and unseasoned. The wiggly, uncooked bacon was also a nice touch. The only saving grace to our entrees were the frozen tater tots my wife got with her cheesesteak. Seriously. The drinks were good, as well. The waiter asked how our food was about 5 minutes into dinner to which I responded that it was “meh.” Near the end of our meal, he said the manager would comp us dessert, which we declined. The waiter proceeded to get our opinions on the new restaurant and talked with us for a few moments. At no point did the manager actually come to our table (or any table for that matter) to discuss the food or any problems. At a newly renovated restaurant. With obviously all new staff in place. He was just quick to give away food as a band-aid.That might work with the 20-somethings you’re trying to get on their way to the casino. I don’t know for how long.A LOT of work to be done here. Hopefully the old owners made a “mint.”

Was excited to return here after the reopening, but it didn’t take long for that excitement to turn into severe disappointment.Liked the atmosphere before the changeover. Just had a better setup and feel for me personally prior to the changes. As for the food…the appetizers were good (not great), but some of the main courses were atrocious. The burger was good, the chicken and biscuits were terrible. The presentation looked to have been done by a middle schooler in home ec. The chicken nuggets, yes…nuggets, were tiny (they give you 4) and the biscuits tasted like they were freshly made 10 days ago. The shrimp pasta, while decently portioned, had absolutely no flavor AT ALL.The best part of this uneventful evening, is that they refused to honor a $100 gift card that we were given shortly before the changeover. Just said they couldn’t process it, no attempt at all to honor, not 25% discount, 10% discount, not even a 1% discount to try to make things right. It was really a matter of principle to me.So to the owner of the Mint, Tapas on Main, Urbano (all restaurants we have frequented on multiple occasions), we’ll be gladly taking our dining dollars elsewhere.
My husband and I were so excited to go back to The Mint after it was closed for so long since new owners purchased it. We used to go there often and loved the food and vibe.Since reopening, it looked nice inside, but sadly the food was really bad. I got the falafel wrap and it was flavorless and super dry with almost no tzatziki sauce. My husband's Asian chicken wrap had flavor, but definitely not anything that would make you think "This is an Asian chicken wrap." I also think they made the wrong drink for me? But the worst was the creme brulee. The custard was cooked all the way through (I assume because they're using too shallow of a dish) and had a curdled, scrambled egg texture and was basically inedible. Also, the strawberries on top were not even ripe. It was just a really disappointing experience, especially since we've been missing The Mint and were excited to go back. Womp.
Great Dinner and Great Service! My wife and I had dinner here on Thanksgiving eve. Everything was excellent, drinks, apps, and dinner. There was a band, which was awesome, that started at 700pm. Our server, Anderson, was very helpfull and attentive. We are thrilled this restaurant has reopened and it seems to be better than ever!
Parking: Parking lot was full, but plenty of spots on the street (no meters) right out in front.
After much anticipation waiting since Mint closed in May it finally re-opened so my wife and I eagerly arrived to find it pretty busy on Friday, 11/18/22. We were seated immediately and it took about 10 minutes for a waiter (who looked familiar) to bring us water and introduce himself...as busy as they were not a big deal. We ordered drinks and were about 20 minutes in by the time we got them and orderd an appetizer. While waiting for the appetizer we ordered a couple beers, I thought it odd that the waiter had to go get the beer list from another table to bring us. We then asked him about the soup of the day and chefs big plate which he wasn't too sure of. When our appetizer (spinach dip) finally arrived we were an hour and 15 minutes in and placed our food order. The spinach dip left much to be desired, appeared to be frozen chopped spinach with no flavor except that of salt. At some point shortly after placing our food order the waiter came to our table and vented his frustration about how unorganized things were and that he didin't even know about the soft opening scheduled for Thursday until two days before on Tuesday. He told us he works at the owners retaurant Urbano but they had him come to The Mint to help out. Then it clicked we had him at Urbano and the service was equally atrocious there, which is why he looked familiar. At the two hour mark with three rounds of drinks, mediocre spincah dip, no entree, and obviously frustrated staff we left and went elsewhere for food as were many other patrons. We love Tapas but have had horrible experiences at Flying Egg, Urbano, and now the Mint. With all the excellent restaurants in Bethlehem and the lehigh valley in general this group needs to step up their game if they want to be a long term contender in the area.
I tried the Mint at the recommendation of several people. The food is unique and wonderful, as blend of Asian fusion and American comfort food. The drinks are very original and leave nothing to be desired. The atmosphere is friendly and a little whimsical and the service is excellent.
