I waited months and months trying to book reservations to no avail then one day BAM! We got our chance and let me tell you that Tre Scalini did not disappoint. Hand crafted pasta and a chef that hand prepares every dish!!! Delicious food and an authentic dining experience. And it's BYOB!!!! I got the grilled octopus, the truffle mushroom papperdelle, and a ribeye steak.

This is an incredible place! Authentic Italian cuisine prepared ay the highest level. I tried 4 starters, 4 pasta dishes and 3 desserts. All were stellar. Pasta verde, octopus, mushroom papardelle are a must try. Rebecca was our server and she treated us like royalty. I intend to return soon and I highly recommend!

We live in Chicago which boasts great Italian restaurants....Tre Scalini surpasses even the finest in Chicago! Our server Rebecca was spot on with suggestions. My brother and sister-in-law brought us here and ordered pasta "purses" and BBQ octopus ...these appetizers were perfection!My husband ordered the 'special' pasta with scallops, shrimp and calamari in a welconed spicy marinara sauce. My brother and sister-in-law ordered the paparadelle fungi...awesome savory sauce...I was torn between the linguine limone and linguine with mussels and asked Rebecca to decide and surprise me...I was served linguine limone with shrimp....sauce was perfect blend of lemon with a splash of red pepper spice. Pasta is fresh, sauces are delicious and the presentation makes you want to 'dive in' and enjoy!If you live anywhere near, or are visiting, this is a must-go-to intimate yet lively special treat...byob is a plus...ask for Rebecca (this is Rebecca with a 'c' not a 'k'!).
