About Chestnut Ridge Golf Course

Chestnut Ridge Golf Course is a well-maintained public course with challenging holes and friendly staff. While some holes can be tricky to navigate due to the lack of color pin placement flags on the greens, the course offers a beautiful setting for golfers, tucked between mountain ridges with great views of the Laurel Mountains. The restaurant serves excellent food and the staff are extremely nice. The greens are nice, very true, soft, and hold most shots well, though the collars and fringe can be irregular. Traps are not good and need more sand, but the fairways are thick and spongy, even after heavy storms. The cart was excellent, and the beer is cold and refreshing. Deer, groundhogs, and geese are often seen around the course. While the air conditioning can be sporadic, this place remains a must-play with immaculate tee boxes, fairways, and greens.
