Case Quattro Winery Wine Bar • $$
1542 Main St, Peckville

“After looking at the information online it appeared Case Quattro would have the sweet wines my wife enjoys as well as the dry reds I enjoy. Sure enough expectations were meet. We both did wine tastings and found all of the wines excellent. Will definitely back back. Of course we got bottles to go“

Lucchi Family Wine Cellars Winery • $$
134 N Main Ave, Scranton - 6.42 miles

“My wife Kathy and I both agree that the Lucchi Family sweet wines are without a doubt the absolute best we have ever tasted. Several of our friends that we introduced the wines to feel the same way. And besides making excellent wines the owner showed exemplary personal service to us when our son made a mistake ordering a gift card for my wife's birthday. Mark Lucchi went above and beyond to rectify the situation even though the winery was not at fault. We have always purchased their products at wine festivals but will be making a trip to Scranton to stock up for the holidays. We highly recommend this winery and want to thank Mark for his part in making Kathy's birthday as special as it was.“

Wood Winery Winery • $$
3491 Hornbaker Cemetary Rd, Madison

“Each time we visit Wood Winery, we are greeted with open arms by the owners and staff. Our experience once there is whatever we choose, sometimes more talkative to other guests and sometimes private and intimate. This establishment makes both possible. So beautiful, quaint and sometimes, with live performances, exciting and interactive. Oh and the wine is super tasty(: make the trip, you won't regret it“

RiverView Winery Winery •
410 Washington Ave, Jermyn

“I was here 1st time last weekend. Place was nicer than I expect it. Very Friendly crew and atmosphere. the only thing that I was disappointed in is they need to have more dry red wine. All they had was two bottles of cabernet and we finished them off and there was none left. My friends and I prefer a dry red Merlot was too sweet for our taste. So we ended up drinking beer. Would love to see more variety of drys .“

“What a pleasant surprise located just outside of Scranton, Pennsylvania. I was hiking in a state park just to the West of Scranton, and decided to pop over to a winery and see how good it is. Verdict? Pretty good! And when I say pretty good, I mean REALLY good for Pennsylvania. A lot of the wineries in this area basically sell glorified, overly sweet grape juice. Maiolatesi has that if you want it, but I do not want that. I prefer traditional wines, and Maiolatesi has a pretty solid selection! The unoaked Chardonnay was a real nice surprise. The Syrah/Cab Frank blend was solid. But the star of the show was the Sparkling Traminette/ I ended up buying a bottle, it was so good. The service was awesome. The ladies working in the tasting room were so friendly and helpful. The ambiance was nice. It was a bit too chilly to sit out on the deck, but I really wanted to because it was so pretty. We went in the fall and the leaves had turned, so the views off the deck were stunning. Really beautiful area. I don't know if Maiolatesi is worth going out of your way to visit, but if you're in the area it is absolutely worth a stop in.“

“We unexpectedly found a gem! My hubby and I and friends took a chance and were pleasantly surprised. It was so nice to chat with the owners, Sal and Pauline and hear about their beginnings of wine making. Sal is also chef and the food is delish! The building is new. It’s beautifully done and the sunset off the deck was spectacular ? The wine was actually good for “Pennsylvania wine”. Usually my husband and I describe Pennsylvania wine as earthy ? but this was good. You absolutely cannot go to wineries in New Jersey or Pennsylvania and compare them to Napa wines. We usually enjoy the white wines more than the red but I have to say their red was pretty good. Overall, our trip to Maiolatesi Winery was a good one! We will definitely be back!“
