“If you are looking for a restaurant that is truly a class above anything else in Central Pennsylvania, you must visit La Malbec.
Jason and I went for dinner hoping to find something a little more upscale, and this place absolutely blew us away. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was beautiful—homey yet elegant, fun yet sophisticated. The décor is stunning, and the attention to detail makes the entire experience feel special.
Our waitress, Sue, gave fantastic recommendations, and we started with the shrimp shooters—light, flavorful, and a fun start to the meal. The menu was so incredible we couldn’t pick just two entrées, so we ordered three!
The duck l’orange came with the best Brussels sprouts we’ve ever had, the lamb chops were perfectly tender with a phenomenal mint sauce and mushroom risotto, and the corvina topped with lump crab meat and pea & corn risotto was light, fresh, and absolutely delicious.
The cocktails were spot-on, and we paired dinner with a Malbec and a Sauvignon Blanc—both perfect with the meal. Dessert sealed the deal: the chocolate cake was melt-in-your-mouth amazing, (think Lava cake) and the bread pudding was fantastic.
The chef even came by our table, and we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Roxanna, who was so warm and welcoming. Sue also showed us the outdoor deck, which looks like an incredible spot in warmer weather.
This restaurant is truly something special. It is hands down a class above anything else in Central Pennsylvania, and we cannot wait to go back. Highly, highly recommend. We can’t wait to go back!“
