This was my first time here and I absolutely can’t wait to come back. Everyone was very attentive, great service at the bar.
I had a fresh ingredient blood orange margarita and the tuna tartare, both excellent! Highly recommend.

For an al a carte inflexible menu the attention to detail and quality was a miss. The Manager did comp the portion but the review is on the overall
The menu was way too pricey for Mexican food, and they had entrees listed that I have never heard of. Their margaritas came in a small glass instead of a normal margarita glass with tons of ice. They were $15.00 each, way overpriced. Our meals did not include much either. Needless to say, we will stay with Ray Azteca on Street Road and never will come back to this place again. My wife's meal came out warm and not hot from this place. Very bad first impression. I will never recommend this restaurant. We ended up spending about $140.00 for two people which is unheard of for Mexican food.

El Sarape delivers an incredible dining experience every single time. The service is outstanding, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the food is authentic, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Everything tastes homemade, from the sauces to the fresh ingredients used in every dish. If you’re looking for real Mexican cuisine and an amazing overall experience, El Sarape is absolutely worth visiting. 🇲🇽✨
As for Katrina’s comments, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but as a Mexican myself, I can confidently say this restaurant understands authentic Mexican flavors and traditions. Authentic Mexican food is far more diverse than what many Americans assume it should be. A quesadilla, for example, traditionally consists of a tortilla with cheese and your choice of filling. Extras like sour cream, guacamole, or pico de gallo are popular additions in the U.S., but they are not what defines authenticity.
Before criticizing a restaurant’s authenticity, it’s important to understand the culture, regional traditions, and history behind Mexican cuisine. El Sarape has proudly served authentic Mexican food for years, and it shows in both the quality of the food and the passion behind it. 🌮🔥

Margs are delicious but food is a miss. What is this quesadilla??? There are way too many good Mexican restaurants in the area to dine here again.
Really loved the food, service, and atmosphere here! We made reservations for a Saturday night, glad we did because it got pretty busy. The service was great, everyone was very welcoming, and the food and drinks came very quickly after ordering. Everything was fresh and hot and delicious! They have a great menu with a variety of different options, including a great dessert menu. We especially loved the guac, enchiladas, margaritas, and flan. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and helped us as needed Would definitely like to come back again for their happy hour or to sit outside on their patio! Highly recommend for a night out!

I went to El Sarape for happy hour this week. The margaritas were great, as were the bartenders. The food is meh. My friend was served a partially filled beer and was told by the manager it had to do with the alcohol content - which was fact-checked & not true.
