Great food and service people are friendly there like family to us.We eat there often, Jimmy cooks to your likings. If you haven't tried it I recommend you do.
Good food, great service. Very homie and welcoming. Waitress was good and friendly. We'll be back!
To expensive foe the amount of food .and it was not hot
This was my 1st time here. I ordered large breakfast to taste my favs. Eggs came out perfectly cooked, home fries were good, grits came in large bowl and delicious. The Scrapple I asked them to make it a little more well done and they did. But one of the best things was the toast. I ordered rye toast and it came out lightly toasted which is how I love my toast and plenty of butter. (I am not a fan of crunchy dark toast.) I could eat the crust without a crunch! The Rye bread that they had was the thick type and was absolutely fantastic. Great service and great prices and many selections. Their pancakes are also great said my friend (who helped eat some of my big breakfast 😃).
The prices are very reasonable and if you walk away hungry and don't get enough to eat your in trouble.
Old School diner, extremely low prices for a good amount of food. Kathy, our server, was great. Be sure to bring cash for tip!
Every year I eat pork and sauerkraut and mashed potatoes on news year day. Last year we came to mountain shadows and enjoyed it. We came again this year and asked for no gravy on the potatoes and the kind waitress apologized as she set it down saying Mike (the owner) ignored her when she was telling him we wanted no gravy. Mike doesn’t like the one person I was with. We all also felt like the sauerkraut was spoiled. The awesome waitress was apologetic and even said it smelt off. Normally I love going to mountain shadows but with the owner ignoring our request for no gravy (it wasn’t even runny it was jelly like) and ignoring our concern for the sauerkraut spoiling makes me question if I’ll go again. We even asked for brown sugar and mixed it in but it didn’t help at all.
We didn't know what to expect whnlen we first pulled in.....but we'll definitely be back! Very friendly staff and breakfast food is very good! BRING CASH FOR TIPS! no credit tips
First time dining here. Passed it frequently and always wondered. All in all, it was what I expected. The location is aged and needs some attention, but the food was GREAT! Service was GREAT as well. I do love the atmosphere of the old time diner ?
Parking: Tight in front of the building, especially if during a busy time. Large side lot available

Came for the first time . Prices seemed reasonable. Was not packed we only order mushroom burgers and they messed up the orders they gave us the wrong food with the wrong burger and then instead of taking the plates away and fixing it they had us swop food not plates . Good atmosphere quiet . We went in the afternoon . Overall I would give it a 5. Friendly and clean
Been there twice everything was alsome

July 2024 - Great place, good diner food. Don't let the outside appearance stop you from going in.. Very clean inside and staff was friendly. Stopped on our way to Gettysburg.
