The food has a great flavor, was super hot when we arrived back home and they packaged everything nicely! The price was competitive and the portions are large. “We stopped into Ichiban Steakhouse on 9th Street a little later in the evening and were greeted with nothing but kindness and professionalism. Even though it was late, our waiter was extremely polite, welcoming, and never made us feel rushed. We opted for water, and refills were prompt and attentive throughout the meal.
We started with the boiled dumplings, which were clearly handmade and absolutely delicious. You can taste the freshness, and they’re some of the better dumplings I’ve had in the area. For the entrée, we ordered the chicken with garlic sauce, which came with white rice. This dish has always been a favorite of mine here, and it didn’t disappoint—flavorful, well-balanced, and consistently outstanding.
I asked to substitute fried rice and added an egg roll for an additional $9.95. The fried rice is prepared completely differently than what you find at most Chinese restaurants, and it’s excellent—unique, flavorful, and well worth the upgrade. The egg roll also tasted handmade and was crisp, fresh, and very satisfying.
Overall, the service was great, the staff was genuinely polite, and the bill was very reasonable even with the upcharge. A consistently solid spot with great food and friendly service.“
