P.J. Whelihan's Pub + Restaurant - Lawrence Park

Tried this restaurant for the first time, it is close to where my sister lives in Drexel Hill. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! We got the wings as any appetizer and they were kind enough to put two different sauces on the side, I wanted spicy and my sister Michelle didn't. She had the chicken quesadillas and I had the best burger and ff. Healthy portions prevent us from having dessert !! we will be back to have dessert.

Love the crab corn chowder here. Nicely spiced with bay seasoning, quite tasty. Wings a good value. I like scorpion flavor: hot but not crazy hot. Update: just tried mango habanero flavor wings and they are 10 out of 10. Good menu overall. Excellent beer selection both on tap and bottled. The servers at various PJ locations seem to be attentive and good at their job. I see PJ's as a solid choice among local bar/restaurant chains. It's clean with good A/C and nice TV's for sports viewing. Update Aug 2025: I still feel that PJ's is a superior choice to comparable chains in the area. Yes the menu is a bit limited; however there are enough good choices; the space is airy with excellent A/C and great sports viewing; and the beer taps are kept clean which isn't always the case at other chain eateries. Lastly the house sound is well chosen and kept at an appropriate level. Those details raise PJ's above most alternatives.
