Different Cheesesteak #1259. I am trying to enjoy the finer things in life. La Cabra Brewing Smokehouse is one of the places you can do that. I got the Brisket Chopped Cheese. Roll, meat, and cheese, it’s a cheesesteak. It’s not going to win any cheesesteak contest, but this was a great stop. Friendly, professional bartender. Bar and table seating. The Brisket Chopped Cheese comes on a very nicely made and toasted seeded roll. The meat was very good. It may have been better in a pile and eaten with a fork. It came with cole slaw and spicy aioli. They added a ton of great flavor. I liked my beer. I considered getting a second one. The guy next to me told me he liked my shirt, so he won a t-shirt. Funny side bar, his wife was across the street at the hospital in labor while he was at the bar drinking beer and winning a t-shirt.

The briskett nachos were amazing! Seriously, it was an incredible combo of beans, cheese and magic! Generous portions and yummy drinks made for a fantastic lunch. We can't wait to come back for dinner!
I've visited the brewpub in Berwyn before, but this was my first time visiting their smokehouse and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, at lunch *and* for leftovers. I ordered the wood-fired whole wings with pit sauce and pulled pork Mac and cheese, which came with a Carolina bbq sauce.
The wings were meaty and cooked perfectly, with the tangy pit sauce and seemingly homemade ranch providing just the right flavor to compliment the wing.
As for the pulled pork Mac & cheese, usually when I see it on a restaurant's menu it feels gimmicky and uninspired, but I had a feeling La Cabra would be different... and it was indescribably good. As was the case with the wings, the story here is how the cheesy pasta, tender pulled pork, and mustardy Carolina bbq sauce (I'm not a fan of mustard-based bbq sauces, but La Cabra has shown me the light) came together to create a truly inspired dish that I had to restrain myself from finishing before I needed a nap.
There's a bunch of other things on the menu I can't wait to try, like the gigantic hot chicken sandwich my buddy was eating next to me, so I'll definitely be back sooner than later.

**AVOID This Place**
Forget about the salads and sandwiches—just go somewhere else, or better yet, just grab a drink. Why did the meat smell off, and why weren't the other ingredients fresh?
It was overpriced, came with no sides, and was even served cold. It felt like they just mixed together leftovers from the fridge. I never want another cold sandwich again.

Awesome spot! I don’t even drink beer and I love coming here because the food is just so good. We love coming early dinner with our young daughter. Some of my favorites are.. the smoked half chicken, brisket, wings, and the pickled veggies. Chefs kiss! Great food and nice people.

Excellent service, food not so much! The BBQ was okay, but the sauce made it so much worse. One sauce looked like tomato sauce, the other two sauces were extremely vinegary. Mac & cheese was dry, collard greens were a no for me.

Everything is great about this place. What we (family) liked most are Nachos, Whole wings with very nicely balanced unique buffalo sauce you won’t find anywhere else, and of course their baby rack ribs. Order ahead if you plan to go later in the night as they run out of their ribs fast. Consistently good food and service as we have gone there more than once.

Blew my expectations away! I thought that either the food or the beer would be good, but one bad. The (house) beer was good and the food was crazy good! The appetizer nachos had a cheese/salsa mix that was unique and delicious. Moist, fall-of-the-bone brisket may have been the best I've ever tasted. The service was completely attentive. I'll be back soon to try the burnt ends and smoked wings.

I love how almost all their items are gluten-free. It's amazing for people like me. Portions are amazing. The only thing is that combos don't come with sauces, so make sure to order them separately.

The food was uninspired. The beer was lovely and complex. The space was noisy and flat.
