Our waitstaff, Ann was outstanding. She is knowledgeable talented and wonderful. She made our dining experience more enjoyable. Thank you Judge Gantman (ret)
This restaurant is three buildings east of the Bryn Mawr Film Institute in the heart of Bryn Mawr on Lancaster Avenue and has held a reputation for delicious Italian cuisine and ambiance in a small setting for decades. Parking is convenient and it is a BYOB with a good wait staff. High ceilings adds to the noise level, but a 4-person table works for conversation. Best to make a reservation in advance.
Everything was great except for the noise level in the restaurant. It was very difficult for the four of us to hear each other.
Salads were fresh and bright. Meatless pasta dishes were perfect for a hot summer evening. Our server, Mariela, was superb. Fraschetta remains a go to constant in Bryn Mawr.
My husband and I love Fraschetta! So many great things to say from attentive service to delicious Italian cuisine. We frequent Fraschetta and love introducing our friends to it!
Outstanding date night at Fraschetta! The strip steak melted in my mouth. The fritella was a fun mixture of spiciness and sweetness. And the tiramisu in a bowl was the crown jewel with little flakes of chocolate therein, giving each bite a subtle and satisfying crunch. Our server, who we have had both visits, is engaging and informative. She recommended the tiramisu, which is what made my meal phenomenal! We love going early—around 5–to avoid crowds and noise. Awesome date night spot!
The shrimp risotto was absolutely delicious—rice perfectly cooked. Our server was warm and friendly and spoiled us because it was our anniversary meal. A favorite spot for Saturday night dinner before a movie at BMFI.
The food was delicious. There were 5 of us and we felt rushed. We were not finished with the salad, and the entrees were served.
This is a very good place tucked in the heart of Bryn Mawr a few doors from the Bryn Mawr Film Institute. While a bit noisy, the food and service are great. The kitchen knows how to prepare excellent cuisine. As vegetarians, my wife and I truly enjoy the meals there.
Outstanding service, delicious seasonal selections that never disappoint and the best tiramisu we have ever had!!

Delicious food and trendy ambiance. Our waiter was very helpful and explained the various food choices.
We stopped in on a Thursday evening in February for dinner prior to seeing a show at the Ardmore Music Hall. I had originally left this review for Avalon Bar and Bistro because that’s where we thought we were and where we intended on going but just found out we were actually at Fraschetta. The doors to both restaurants must be side by side. Funny tho because we were wondering why it was BYOB but called a wine bar.
We did not have a reservation but were seated promptly in the upstairs dining area. Again, thinking we were at Avalon Bar and Bistro, we were confused about the BYOB so we drank the water that was offered at the table only. We never even thought to ask the server. We shared the eggplant appetizer, shrimp risotto and branzino special. The food was delicious. Our server was friendly, professional and attentive. The atmosphere was easygoing but also sophisticated. Perfect for a date night or a fun girls night out. Prices were comparable to other similar restaurants we have been too.
This was an overall very good experience even tho we were not where we thought we were lol!
This restaurant is always good. They have a chef who makes unique meals, which are always delicious. The service is charming. The people are kind and very helpful. I always have a good meal here. I always enjoy the meal here. I highly recommend it.
This restaurant never disappoints. Great specials and a wonderful regular menu. Anne, our server is wonderful. The pasta (made by them) is served perfectly, slightly “Al dente” like in Italy.
Great service was Anne in the dining room, even on a busy night! The food was great and I look forward to coming back in for dinner sometime soon!
