Just Wow! The food was so flavorful and bright! We were travelling and stopped on a recommendation and are so glad we did. It’s an obvious local place as we overheard the waitstaff chatting it up with regulars. Note it is cash only and BYOB. It had a cozy, quiet atmosphere on a Tuesday night.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy roll in the front door. Bathroom is large accommodation for one. The dining room isn’t big, but a chair can easily be removed from a table.

The first time I came here on a Saturday night, it was a magical evening. I have thought of this restaurant so many times since! This Saturday night it was a disappointment. The place was packed and it was so loud that we couldn't hear each other unless we yelled. There were only two waiters (wonderful gentlemen) who were in charge of the whole restaurant and it literally took an hour of several reminders until I got my pita for my hummus. The Greek salad, while fresh, was just average in taste and nothing special. I got the appetizer plate which is quite small in portions compared to the price. For a vegetarian there are not a ton of options and no entrees. It's still a lovely restaurant but tonight was disappointing in several ways.

Food is always on point! Service can't be beat! Cozy restaurant that feels like you're getting a home cooked meal made by Yaya.

We were able to secure a 7:15 reservation for two on a Friday night on a hour's notice. The table was available but not yet set when we arrived on time, as the host (friendly and efficient) was bringing out a series of take-out orders. Our wait was short, though, and from there everything went perfectly. The restaurant was full but did not feel overcrowded or too noisy. The waiter was friendly, efficient and well-informed. He even offered us a choice of wine glass styles for our bottle (Lourdas is BYOB). We shared a "small" Horiatiki salad (plenty for two, with remarkably fresh tomatoes, considering it was January) and the Kalamari (fried squid) appetizer, which was well made but could have been tastier. The main courses arrived soon after we finished out appetizers; neither early nor too late. One of us had the shrimp (a house specialty) -- which was terrific -- and the other, the Moussaka, which was hearty and tasty, but (like the squid) could have been more flavorful. The servings were generous but not overwhelming. Although tempted by the baklava-flavored ice cream, we were too full to try any dessert. Total cost around $85 (cash only) plus tip. All in all, a very nice night out for a special occasion. We're likely to return some time.

We were forced to wait in the cold in winter as no place to stand as you enter nor no greeting. It was bizarre noone in sight. Others as we stood awkwardly waiting for host? were outside standing. The place so small the noise became deafening. The server served up a snarky comment when the gyros were so awful two of us couldnt eat them. My husband wasted his politeness on this indifferent guy and said, would you respectfully remove the gyro it was inedible. The guy said I ALREADY said Id remove it from the bill ,not unlike a bratty rude person who appears to hate his job. We were so kind and patient and didnt deserve his fat induced wrath. Oh he offered that it was our fault essentionally for the repulsive inedible lamb gyro as we should have known its fatty. Ok captain know it all, sorry but all of us have eaten many places and bad food isnt explained away. It was gristle ( a cheap cut of lamb) in the gyro and to scold us into submission that it was our fault was not fun. If this is family owned this server /manager/ whatever isnt family . If he is he needs mom to give him a spank and apologize not to educate why the food is awful. The service awful by captain i hate my job . The lambchops were very good. The fries good but beware the dreaded lamb gyros. They need to up their game in food quality and in better service. The hummus creamy and the portion generous. It wasnt very flavorful. Not bad. The mousaka was good. Not as flavorful as other greek places but it was a very good attempt. If you dont mind freezing outside, having defensive servers who tell you its fault for inedible food, have fries or lambchops and wear noise canceling headsets.

My husband had Moussaka which was very good. I had octopus salad appetizer which was well seasoned. The hummus appetizer was delicious and creamy and pita tasted homemade. Service was very good on a Tuesday night with five of the 15 tables occupied.Prices on online menu are dated. Actual prices are 30-40% more. Fresh fish dishes were $35. Not saying food wasn’t worth it but how hard is it to update a website?

The food was phenomenal. The restaurant itself is very small, but for us that made it more cosy. The prices seem fair. Bare in mind, THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH. That wasn't a hindrance for us, but not everyone carries that much cash around.

Place was empty. Literally had to walk back to the kitchen and knock on the door to ask to get seated. Not much ambiance. Server did not seem very attentive. Food was just ok. Will look elsewhere for greek food.

Food was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered Mousaka, and i got a Gyro. IT took a while for it to come out, but it seems like that is because the Mousaka was made from scratch when we ordered and baked in the individual dish. Totally worth the wait. Our waiter was not great. He seemed annoyed to have to wait on us, but he did refill our water regularly. He just didn't make any eye contact or engage us in any way other than basically nodding at our order and maybe an MmHmm in response. He seemed to be the only server on staff that night, but it wasn't busy. Only 3 or 4 tables seated the whole time we were there (including us). But we had a nice enjoyable meal and like i said, the food was superb. Oh one other thing. the prices on the website were old and the actual prices were about 25% higher.

Worst Greek food that I have EVER had! My fiance and I both ended up eating the crust of the Phyllis dough off of spanakopitika and tossing the rest. It was so salty that I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. It tasted like it was made with canned spinach and cheap yellow American cheese from Aldi. I've had frozen spanakopitika from the grocery store that was ten times better than THIS. The gentleman who took my order over the phone was very amiable and the portion was relatively large. However, the spanakopitika was downright atrocious. Next time I am in the mood for Greek food, I'll drive the extra few miles to go to South St Souvlaki where they have phenomenal authentic Greek food that is absolutely delicious. I will never EVER eat ANYTHING from Lordas Greek Taverna as long as I live
