The food is absolutely wonderful no matter what you get and the chef is very talented with specials. Their service is somewhat erratic with taking your order and getting your checks. The bus service people bust the tables and deliver things immediately. This is a BYOB so it surprised me that when My Husband brought his whiskey that they didn't have whiskey type glasses he had to use a wine glass for it . Parking is free after 6 o'clock and they have a beautiful outside if anyone's interested. If they could better train their weight staff, I would give this five stars as his degree neighborhood place to go.

I love going to polpo. The food is amazing and the service is excellent! This is where my husband and I go for special occasions and it's always worth it!

Fantastic food, the very best dinner we have had in recent years. Everything very flavorful, food was hot, food presentation was stunning. Will definitely return and tell our friends.

We came to celebrate my aunt's 90th birthday. The service was great. My aunt was torn on what to have. She really wanted a veal dish, but she knows it can be hit or miss on tenderness. The server said she would bring her the veal dish and if she didn't like it would get her something else. Well the veal was not tender so my aunt decided on the pasta carbonara which she loved. We had a great experience and will be back when in the area again. Thanks for making her 90th birthday special.

Our go-to local place. The folks at PolPo are always friendly, and the food speaks for itself.

The Caesar salad was perfect. The linguine and clams, not so. The pasta was cooked just right, but the clams were tough and chewy. Otherwise, it was a great experience and I will go back again. I just won't order clams. 🙂

We sat outside for dinner on a Sunday evening, and it was very pleasant. My husband had spaghetti, and I had ravioli. Both were delicious. The service was outstanding.

The fried tomato appetizer was fantastic. The Caesar salad was chilled and perfect. The veal Parm was also excellent and the sauce was top notch. The chocolate cake dessert was okay but didn't compare to the rest of the meal. The outdoor patio was lovely and our server Hilary was a delight.

The food is delicious, very close to authentic Italian food in italy. The service was efficient and friendly. The atmosphere can be a bit noisy inside if large parties are there. The outside is a quaint and a quieter atmosphere.

I’ve been here a few times before and had great food and good service but this time was bad. I got the pescatore pasta dish, and the mussels smelled and tasted very off. Couldn’t finish the dish because of the smell and taste. Got an affagoto and it came out already combined and lukewarm like it had been sitting out… there was also a live bug crawling on the cup when he placed it on the table. The waiter was also itching his scalp a lot, scratching his cheek/beard and burped in his hand, so not sure how clean his hands were. Just an overall bad experience at a place I used to have very good experiences at. They also cancelled my Open Table reservation after, even though I arrived on time for it.

Classic white tablecloth restaurant. We were some of the first guests of the day. The table bread was rather dense to the point where we couldn't tell whether it was the style or a day old loaf. The Frito misto was some of the best calamari I've had. The fried peppers and shrimp that accompany it makes a well rounded dish. The garganeli alla barese was an enjoyable, boldly flavored dish. The garlic and rabe pulls it together well. The chicken with mushroom dish that we had good flavor, however the texture of the chicken was incredibly too soft, similar to the texture of Chinese food restaurants. I felt the chicken dish could have been made better with a small accompaniment. Not a bad dish, but the texture lessened it in my opinion.

I'd recommend this restaurant as a good option, if one is in the area, but it I would not call it a destination restaurant.

We had a lovely dinner. The appetizers we’re good, I’d give them 4 stars. But my entree was delicious! I had the homemade fettuccine with bolognese *chef kiss* I only wish it had been a slightly bigger portion for the price.

Really appreciated the attentive service. Was with my mom who has some physical limitations and was grateful for the extra attention and patience.
