I had a 6pm reservation yesterday. I was 20 minutes late getting to the restaurant because of the rain and I was stuck in traffic. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was still standing at the table, taking my coat off, when the server “Jess” comes over to the table with an attitude in her voice giving us a verbal list of the specials. The server “Jess” let me know from the beginning she loathed my presence and did not care about my business by the tone of her voice and behavior. I was nervous she was going to spit in my food or something. Only because I was still stressed after trying to get to the restaurant by 6pm, I did not leave the restaurant. I just wanted to relax after working all day, so I stayed. After a while of dealing with the server’s antics, I let the server know she was being annoying, by saying to her, “I just want to relax.” Eventually, by the end of dinner, she had a better attitude. I have nothing against the server, but if she is at the restaurant (if I should decide to come back), I will choose another restaurant. It does not matter whether an establishment likes a person but, business is business. The restaurant is not cheap, so I came there to spend money and expected to at least be treated with kindness. I did not come there to pay for someone to treat me terrible. I was not surprised it was cash only (your debit card) which is not a problem for me. The only issue was the server. I prefer good service whether the food is good or not. There's plenty of other restaurants in the area to go to besides this one for BYOB.

Great neighborhood family owned and focused restaurant. Tight space but the food and atmosphere of a family kitchen is worth it.

The food was delicious! It's byob so of course the drinks were good too the service was awesome, but we were also there on a non busy week night. The atmosphere was sleek and informal. It's definitely on the pricey side for me, but would def recommend!

I'm going to try to be fair with this review. Reservations were made and they were told it was my birthday. We got there early and waited about 15 min, no issue with that. We got escargot which was very good. French onion soup, bread with cheese was very good but the soup was bland and not worth eating. Wife got steak, which was overdone but ok, nothing special. I got chicken which was ok, sauce was good, baby onions and carrots were excellent. Atmosphere and staff... initially ok but it deteriorated to the point we did not even really feel welcome. We watched the owner go from table to table greeting people and actually talking with people but never said a word to us. Half way through dinner ran out of water which never got refilled. They made us feel like outsiders. The bill with no alcohol and only water came to over $150. I would have no problem with that except for the food did not rate the price nor did the service or atmosphere. We have eaten and quite a few 5 star restaurants, but you would not know that to look at us. They treated us poorly, and 2 stars is probably more than they deserved. We will never return to this restaurant.

I was solo and in the area and love to try local places. The reviews seemed pretty good so I made a reservation online. It was a Tuesday so I’m not surprised they weren’t busy but when I walked in not only was I the only one in the restaurant I wasn’t greeted immediately and awkwardly had to walk almost halfway back before I was greeted. (The owner I’m assuming was pleasant and I think he was hoping his staff would do what they are supposed to do and provide customer service).I was seated and my waitress was sweet and very helpful. *i wouldn’t give as much time to the clients in between seating and menu looking, I was sitting there for about 10 minutes after reviewing the menu to actually placing my order. Now for the food, I was soooo excited to try this place because the photos and reviews looked good. I ordered the gnocchi as an app and that was pleasantly good but the mushrooms tasted like they were jarred or over brined. I wanted to eat the mushrooms with the gnocchi but it was so salty. I thought it might be a fluke. (Yes I ordered two pasta dishes but the gnocchi had two sizes but even the small was a filling portion for gnocchi)I ordered the brisket with ricotta and Marsala white wine. Upon it being delivered to the table I was disappointed. It didn’t look like what I thought was that dish online. It was all mixed it and while it was creamy it was sooooo salty. As I was eating the brisket I was wondering how they kept it and prepared the dish because it definitely wasn’t tender. The texture was very much as if it had been reheated. Which I understand things like that are done in the restaurant industry but I would maybe suggest a different approach. Dessert is usually my favorite part when dining out but I was disappointed with the dishes at this point and didn’t want to feel like I wasted money.

Graduation party there in June was thinking of returning for dinner looked the place up saw the one star reviews and thought what a bunch of winers. I am an Italian citizen raised on real down home italian cooking. They do a wonderful job with the fusion of mexican and italian . VERY CREATIVE. Highly recommend.

Food and service great!! Some portions are smaller but still a good size. Apps- flatbread and meatballs were delicious as were the entrees. We were a party of 14 and everyone was pleased with their meals. We brought our 3 children (4,7,9). They accommodated them with kids meals (not posted on menu) and we're attentive to them however I would probably not bring them back as it would have been more enjoyable just adults definitely heading back hopefully sooner than later!! Muchas Gracias!!!

Don't understand all the good reviews. Maybe we just picked a bad day. We were visiting the area and went based on online reviews. The place was a mess. Completely understaffed and overpriced. We waited 20 minutes to be seated even though we had reservations. One kid asked for plain penne pasta with butter and they said they don't stray from the menu and can't make it. They don't have a kids menu. Kid ended up ordering the lasagna which has a little bit of kick to it so didn't eat it. And as an Italian restaurant (look at the name) owned by a Mexican "visionary" they can't even include decent bread with your order. They'll charge you $6 per basket for pieces of uninspiring regular long Italian loaf instead of artisan bread or something more interesting. Very disappointed with overall experience for the price ($30-35 per pasta dish) and would not recommend.

Had reservations for 7pm. There was lovely love music outside unfortunately we had asked to be seated inside. The interior is very classic, check photos to make sure that's the vibe you're going for.The appetizers were delicious. Three people got the gazpacho and I enjoyed the shrimp street corn.Entrees were delicious. The bronzino was a big hit and was cooked to perfection. I tried the lasagna which might be the best I've ever had. Nothing too crazy just very creamy and delicious. Part of me wishes I'd gotten something else however as it's not a complex dish, just pasta with no sides.Unfortunately the desserts were a huge disappointment. They looked to have all come straight from the freezer. The creme brulee had no crunch to it and was basically just a coffee pudding.Great tasting food but skip on the dessert here.Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for gluten free

Little late with my review but in June, we enjoyed a lovely dinner from beginning to end including very knowledgeable, pleasant and attentive service. Scallops were cooked perfectly and the beet salad was simple but tasty and accompanied by a lovely orange vinaigrette. Everyone enjoyed their meals but the star was the pappardelle with shrimp; shrimp and pasta cooked to perfection and the sauce was spectacular! The desserts were also very good. We had a chance to meet Mary, she was very sweet. And who doesn’t love a BYO. Look forward to visiting again.
