My husband and I get the cranberry chicken salad; coissants; and chocolate & oatmeal raisin cookies every month as a special treat . So we were taken aback today when the cranberry- chicken salad tasted a little bland. Did the recipe or person who makes it change? We will still return to once again get our special treats.

This Little Gem is one of my go to favorites, It has Never disappointed. Where to start- The Chocolate mouse cake is to die for, my all time fav , The Lemon pond cake scrumptious , and my go to and take to family of work related affairs is the Jewish apple cake!
Refused to take an order when I called ahead for a pick up (was more than happy to prepay).... when I got there, they were out of the cake I wanted. Really bad business, lost a long-time loyal customer.

Never again. I have shopped at the Bakery House since it opened (yes, I'm that old). I have seen many "old time bakeries" close their doors. I remember when this store represented that old example of daily fresh baked goods. In shopping here over the recent years, each time I say "never again". To me the items taste like they have been sitting there for a few days. For Thanksgiving I ordered a VERY EXPENSIVE pumpkin form cake from the website thinking it would certainly be fresh. I did this because my cooking is not stellar, and I hoped the desert would leave a positive memory of the meal. When my cooking turns out to be WAY better then the desert something is VERY WRONG. First, it looked nothing like the picture shown on the website, but it was visually appealing. However, it tasted like it had been made many days before pick-up. It was stale, soggy, and rubbery in texture, not light, soft and delicate as I had hoped. NEVER AGAIN, and this time I mean it.

This place is a bakery Wonderland! I popped in for the first time looking for a vanilla/vanilla birthday cake. Not only did I leave with the perfect, cutest cake…I grabbed two key lime pie bars 😋. I haven’t cut the cake yet but if you made those bars I’m sure it’s delicious.
