I always heard good things so when I was in the area I stopped by. It's an ice cream shop. A very old ice cream shop when you walk in so I wasn't expecting much. You Order at the counter and pay then they bring it to your table. The menu is limited. The staff super friendly. The food was great! We both got the mess and 4 drinks cause neither of us could decide. The bill was $26 . Neither of us could finish our food and we both took it home. The bread was really good, soft, and fresh . I will definitely be going back for more.

Our 2nd time to Barnhart's for lunch. Just as it was our first time: Great staff; wonderful home-made food; bread, buns, baked goods all prepared by them; clean bright atmosphere. Prices reasonable. Large portions. Delicious! Pumpkin soft-serve is very good!

Every day we stop at Barnhart’s for a chocolate shake, the workers are so accommodating that they let us Put his protein additive into the shake we give it back and they mix it up for us.
It shows the great character of their establishment and their workers .
