Well grist house beer is always awesome but I was blown away by the food from Freedom Farm. Wow! Nashville hot chicken, fries, fried pickles. Yah man. I took soups and artichoke dips to go for dinner tomorrow. There is not a table server, but the staff and bartender were just super nice.

Great place for a beer and some amazing food. The garden is cute and the indoor space has lots of room. Perfect place to stop for happy hour and glad to have this in the area, which doesn't have a lot of other similar options close!

The Grist House Beer Crib is more than just another taproom. Much more. It’s literally a place “where everybody knows your name.” It’s a place where friendships are made and where friends continue to gather. I can always count on someone I know being there at the bar, or having a meal, or throwing some disc golf out back. My man Scott is always ready with a beer for me as soon as I walk in. Speaking of Scott, he’s a bartender like no other. Always attentive, always suggesting a new style to try and always good conversation. The rest of the crew is amazing as well and always happy to see you. The kitchen is run by Freedom Farms and everything on the menu is worth trying at least once. They are also dog-friendly, which is always a plus for me and my faithful hound, Bailey. Funny…I haven’t even mentioned the beer yet. If you’re at all familiar with “Grist”, as us locals call it, then you already know they have some of THE BEST liquid in western Pennsylvania. I highly recommend Hazedelic Juice Grenade, Space Cactus, Molecular Effect…any of their NEIPAs really. If you’re more into fruited sours or light lagers, they have a phenomenal, rotating selection of those as well. Come join me sometime! I’ll buy you a beer if you remember my name ?

Tried this place at random when passing through the ‘hood with the missus. She loved her lager and I my hazy. The food was delicious and nutritious. Really pleasant patio seating in the back. Dog and kid friendly. No bottled beer, and the selection is small, but the quality and freshness were so good that it’s a good bet that everyone in your party will enjoy.

A wonderful transformation. It's so much fun to enjoy your drinks outside among tomato plants and hops vines. Grist House has really upped their beer game. The kitchen has quality food that tastes amazing!

If you are looking for a place to hang this is the place to be. Scott (best bartender) will know exactly what you'd like and the farm fresh food is excellent! Definitely the place to come after work, on the weekend or really anytime with family and the furry kids. This was my first bar that I came to on my own and will still continue to come because this place, along with the people are awesome......even the dogs love coming here!

Great place. Great beer. Love Scott. Always great service with a friendly and fun attitude. Only complaint is now they’re way more busy than North Country used to be and could use a bigger bar.

Scott is the best bartender we have ever had. We and others go there weekly just to hang out with him and drink the amazing beers Grist has to offer. I have seen Scott go out of his way to keep the place clean, keep the patrons happy and entertained. He works hard every time we see him.
The freedom farms staff and menu is also great!

Cocky barkeep. Bad distribution of beer choices.
If you like sours you have a choice of 4. If you want say some more sessionable beers, good luck, they had one European lager one the menu, this was quite tasty. The rest of the non sours were high ABV IPAs which are fine too at the right time but, really!
When commenting on this disparity to the bar lad he copped an attitude and got lippy instead of saying something like I'll pass that one to the owners / brewers.
