Horrible service! Zero stars!!! They will not honor their menu or prices. They will rip you off and not fix the order they messed up. Screaming at your customers is not how you fix problems. The chicken tenders were hard, fries were gross and you should have changed your frying oil two days ago. I know from experience. Do not waste your money here.The owner found me on Facebook for leaving a review and sent me an inappropriate message. This is not a business that I will be supporting.

Found Mel’s Place just passing through Saxonburg. Menu was loaded w good variety. Well-prepared food and plenty! Huge pizza with loads of toppings, huge salads w fresh ingredients, homemade fries and grilled, yummy rueben. Friendly service too! Will be back.

As much as I would like a place like this to survive, I honestly don't know how they are still in business. It's a place to stop if you're hungry but do not expect to be blown away. Food is average at best with prices .....hmmm, you don't get what you pay for? The two things that really put this in the last resort category for me at least; 1) NO MASK ON ANY EMPLOYEE INCLUDING THE OWNER and 2) CHILDREN RUNNING RAMPANT IN AND OUT OF THE KITCHEN. AS WELL AS GRANDMA IN THE KITCHEN TOO, ALL THE WHILE TALKING ON HER PHONE. GOD ONLY KNOWS WHATS GOING ON BACK THERE.

Great experience. The food was great! Very comfortable and welcoming!
Everything!!! The food is delicious and always fresh. The staff really do care that you have everything you need and the atmosphere is like hanging out with good friends! I have yet to eat anything I didn’t love or leave hungry. Usually enough leftovers for an entire meal. The prices are so incredible, it allows for a more generous tip for the wonderful staff. We’ll keep going back and bringing friends and making recommendations. God Bless you Mel and staff!!

My party of 5 all had different 1/2 hoagies, fries, thin & thick and cheese sticks. Everyone was very happy with their meals. My only gripe is the sodas are warm cans which take too long to cool off over ice. Decor is kind of weird but I was there to eat so couldn't care less about that.

Yesterday (a Monday), my friend and I were leaving Country Gardens Garden Center (also 5*), and we were oh so hungry. so we drove into the town of Saxonburg and everyone was closed, being Monday. I then pulled off and googled 'Eateries Near Me, and we found Mel's Place, 702 N Pike Rd, Cabot, PA 16023. I never knew of it before and it wasn't that far from town, so we went there. We both had the hot beef sandwichwhich (with soup and side). It is very slow cooked brisket and it was AMAZING. We will definitely be going back. They do appear to be closed on Tuesdays.
