“Service was good. Ordered soup and salad. Nice salad but ranch dressing was so watered down it was equivalent to putting milk on it. Soup was literally a can of Campbells. Others enjoyed sandwich and fries therefore I am leaving a decent rating.“

“We ended up at Saxion by a search in Google Maps for restaurants nearby. It's tucked in on a side road and had no idea it existed! When we walked in, we went left to the bar and decided to go back and to the right to the restaurant area. The staff was super busy with a big party but made sure we knew they were on the way to wait on us. The waitress apologized immediately for the wait upon arrival at our table. We understood and explained that it was perfectly understandable. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! The buffalo chicken salad came in a large bowl (see photo). The buffalo chicken strip appetizer came with 3 pieces of perfectly cooked chicken, crunchy and drenched in buffalo sauce that I can say was very tasty!“

“Husband and I went for dinner last night. I got a burger and he got the special, hot sausage. The burger was delicious! I don’t like a lot of burgers, but I will definitely eat theirs anytime. The fries were really good with seasoning and the ranch is very good. My husband loves his hot sausage. The portions were big and everyone was friendly.“

“This was my first time here...I came in to play some skills games with a friend. We both won a good amount of cash while laughing with the bartender and the other patrons. He and I don't usually drink, but a young lady offered us a shot and we were happy to be treated like old friends by people we didn't know ten mins prior but are now old drinking buddies lol..the bar and pool table areas and skills games were all clean.... “Was told to go here by a Eat N Park server for the best "hot" sausage. It was really good but it's not spicy hot. Maybe to a small child but not an adult. I liked the cozy small bar. But be warned this establishment allows smoking. So when we went in there were patrons smoking. Our bartender Cassandra was very attentive and nice. I would recommend but some people with COPD or asthma might want to avoid this place as the smoke eaters on the ceiling didn't seem like they worked.“

“This past Sunday was our first time we've been here. Our server Carrie was awesome. Friendly, quick, attentive, and had great recommendations. Everything was clean and tidy. “Huge portion sizes, delicious food, great service, and I feel like I'm at the beach! I'll definitely keep coming back. Barefoot is definitely a hidden gem here in Gilpin. I've never had an issue with the service, and the staff is quick to keep your drinks filled. And I feel like I'm getting the best bang for my buck, in regards to the portions. I hope it continues, and I look forward to future trips.“

“The servers here are great. Both ladies that took care of us were very friendly and made great suggestions. The food is great and they have a huge selection. Highly recommend. One thing to note is the steep stairs you have to climb to get to the main entrance. This may be difficult for a handicap person.“
