Bar & Grill near Cammal

“My friends and I stopped at the Wagon Wheel twice this past weekend during a bicycling trip through Pine Creek Gorge: once on the way up the gorge and again on the way back down. We’ve stopped in for drinks many times over the past decade, and it has always been a favorite place to have a drink and enjoy the company.

Our first stop was exactly what we’ve come to expect: friendly and a great place to have a few drinks after a day on the trail.

The second stop is what really stood out. We were riding back on a brutally hot Monday: around 90 degrees, strong headwinds, and full sun. The Wagon Wheel wasn’t even open, but we saw one of the owners and asked if they might be willing to fill our water bottles. Not only did they do that, but a few minutes later they came out with an entire pitcher of water with fresh fruit in it and told us we were welcome to cool down by the creek on their property.

We were really feeling the heat. That act of kindness meant a lot. This will place will always be highly recommended by me.“
