I've been wanting to try this place for years, seeing as how the reviews are always positive. I finally was able to see if the reviews were truly deserved. Yes. Yes they are. The 3 stars for atmosphere is strictly due to the tiny dining area, which has a concrete floor and no dividers between tables. This makes it very difficult to have a quiet conversation. Everything was exceptionally clean, including the building exterior. The service was top notch and friendly. The prices were very reasonable given the quality and taste of our order. Despite the items being made fresh on a very busy Friday evening, we waited no more than 10 - 15 minutes for our order. The main star of the show is the food, and it easily took center stage. It was intensely wonderful, and so few things can do that in the first bite. If you have high expectations and have trouble finding good sushi, Takashi is the answer to your wishes.

We requested vegan modifications to the "vegan combo" but were served a roll covered in mayo sauce. We had to send it back.
The best sushi! Highly recommend.

Has to be the freshest sushi I've ever eaten! Takashi is top notch! We went in late afternoon and took a little of wine. It can be super busy on the weekend evenings but service was fantastic and I will continue to recommend to others!!

Hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had!! I only eat vegetarian sushi so my opinion probably doesn’t matter as much LOL, but this place actually had really yummy veggie (and fruit!) options. The sweet potato roll with chipotle sauce was my favorite. The perfect blend of sweet, savory, and smoky!! The atmosphere was lovely, like a small cafe. It was cool to watch them preparing the meals. My partner got some sashimi and was really impressed with that and his roll! I also got a mango roll and that was SO delicious!! Very unique ingredients, and I THINK they even serve real wasabi!! It was so fragrant and delicious. 100% recommend if you like sushi!

Ordered chicken fried rice, crab rangoons, and a takashi roll. The only thing worth eating were the crab rangoons. Takashi roll was bland and the rice was slightly overcooked/soggy. Fried rice was incredibly bland with almost no flavor at all. Rather disappointed based on all the positive reviews from other customers.
Great Sushi!!

GREAT JOB KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK
I was a little put off when we first walked in. There seemed to be plenty of empty tables, but we were made to eat at the sushi bar. I’m not a fan of eating at the sushi bar. The sushi however was completely awesome! The sushi chefs were very friendly the rest of the staff not so much. The restaurant is small and quaint kinda has a grandmas house feel not exactly what I think of when I’m going for sushi.
Can't really expect more from a neighborhood sushi joint
