“I’m from Florida born and raised, some of you may or may not know what a Publix is, well best chicken buffalo sandwich I’ve ever had has to be a pub sub, until I moved here to Tannersville, PA and tried Mad Dawgs chicken buffalo sandwich and I’ll tell you what, there’s no comparison Mad Dawgs has the best sandwich’s and food in town. So if your coming from out of town and staying in any of the resorts around the area have no doubt to order from here, your taste buds will surely thank you.“

From the moment you approach the main lodge, you are transported. It looks exactly like a fairytale castle or a grand, private hunting chateau has popped up in the Pennsylvania mountains! ​The architecture is absolutely magnificent. The rough-hewn stone exterior, beautifully contrasted with the vibrant red ivy in the fall (as seen in my photos), evokes a powerful sense of history. The grand stone facade, rooted in the Dutch Colonial Revival style of the 1920s, instantly reminded me of a European castle—it truly is a stunning landmark. ​The interiors are just as impressive. The grand lobbies, with their beautiful wood paneling, towering arched windows, and cozy fireplaces, have the warm, elegant feel of an exclusive old-world club. “Stopped in for lunch on our way to Dingmans Falls this afternoon. It was 11:30 but the staff all appeared miserable and unwelcoming even though they'd pretty much only been working for less than an hour, the manager was especially unfriendly and her mind appeared elsewhere, I had to repeat my simple order several times. The food was hot & fresh and the restaurant & restrooms were clean but that should be expected. Not sure who peed in this motley crew's Cheerios this morning but they clearly need to be retrained in customer service.“
