While visiting the area recently, we saw that this place was still open. Back in the 60’s (yes, the 60’s) I would spend summers at my grandmother’s in Richmondale. My aunts would bring me to this ice cream stand often. (Sorry, no idea what the name of it was then.) It was great to see the ice cream is as good now as I remember it. My wife and I checked this place out on a beautiful Saturday night, and it was excellent in every way, right down to the many locals there with their families and children. It was one of the best parts of visiting Carbondale!
We had awesome chili cheese dogs, shakes and ice cream, and they were great. After driving away I wanted to turn around and go back for more!!

I've been going to McGee's since I was a child, and now I bring my own child here. We all love it. It's a staple in the community and a fun stop after a warm day. Love their food and their ice cream! Great place!
