1794 The Whiskey Rebellion

Perfect for our anniversary dinner. The prime rib (Friday and Saturday only) has 3 cuts/ king, queen, and Molly Pitcher (which is the 8 to 10 oz cut.) The au jour was perfect and the mashed potatoes with gravy aa amazing. Quiet restaurant that accepts all dress codes...from casual to formal. no one feel out of place.

Third time here, and probably won't be back. The menu is not very large food wise, and doesn't seem to change often. We were there for an Anniversary (21st) and let them know in advance, but they don't do anything special for you. I mean nothing, lol. My wife asked for a fruity mixed drink and the waitress said she knew nothing about the drinks and would have to ask her manager. So the manager comes over and sells up this “Hanky Panky” drink that honestly is a doctored up Pina Colada. It came to the rim with ice in a short glass. So about 6-8 sips and it's gone! All for the price of $14.00 each! Maybe the manager should state what the price is before upselling it since it wasn't on the menu? The Molly Pitcher burger was supposed to come on a brioche bun, but it did not. Just a regular bun. The burger was not good, the lettuce was soggy. I couldn't even eat half of it, I just took it home and threw it out. The only good thing I can say about our experience at this restaurant is my wife's wagyu ravioli. It was ok, but again, there was no bread to go with it, or fresh grated cheese. This is a below average restaurant and we won't be back. Even though I probably shouldn't have, I tipped the waitress over 25%. I was paying cash and she did not bring me smaller bills back for my change. So she had a good night, but the place wasn't very busy for a Friday night.

Gift cards were not available. We purchased 2 to be sent to recipients by email but they have not received them yet? We purchased them yesterday October 23.

My friends and I enjoyed the delicious food and great atmosphere. My partner had reuben which hew declared "a real reuben". I had scrumptious chicken pot pie and our friend enjoyed the very tasty crab cakes. Even the walnut, cranberry and feta salad was delicious. What a great experience. I would eat here regularly if I lived near Carlisle. I'm so glad we found it!

First time diners. Brought my wife for her birthday. Chose it based on reviews, food and dining room pics. The rustic ambiance reminded us of a restaurant we enjoyed shortly after our marriage 47 years ago. We loved the ambiance and dining... excellent. Our server, Sid, and Mike (the manager I think) were friendly, efficient and attentive. The food was delicious. my wife enjoyed her salmon and my shepherds pie was very tasty. We tried the mushroom appetizer suggested in other reviews and were so very glad we did. It was excellent. For desert, we shared a pear tart... oh my, it was sooo good... the perfect ending. Every aspect of our dining experience was excellent. We are already planning our return visit. Don't miss out, give this restaurant a try!

Fulfilled all our expectations. Excellent food and service. Friendly employees and answered all our inquiries. Would recommend to any asking for a place to have a good meal and not pay an arm and a leg for it.

Food, Water.......Atmosphere, really good vibe and feels almost like traveling back in time, built into the Comfort Suites hotel, it allows a quick and easy access to dinner

Absolutely wonderful experience. The food was delicious and well presented. Our server was an absolute Gem, very professional, attention to detail without being intrusive and a WONDERFUL personality. We sat outside on a starry night, but indoor seating looked very engaging.

Wonderful food, just a wonderful staff and you're sitting surrounded by history. Terrific ambience - love sitting inside the restaurant. Going back when we have a designated driver to sample some of their world class whiskey.

You guys lost a lot of money tonight!!! We would have ordered more drinks and stayed for dessert but our server was downright AWFUL.
So incredibly disappointed in this place. Made reservations for my husband's birthday, drove 45 minutes to a place that was supposed to have lots of bourbon and then didn't even get asked if we'd like another drink!!! So many things were just plain bad.
Server was less than pleasant.
He never asked if we wanted more drinks although my husband kept looking at the bourbon list hoping to get a few pours.
We ordered 4 steaks all of which were tough and not cooked as requested.
This restaurant was a waste of time & money.

Came in for my husband's birthday. Perfect dining experience. We both had the 1794 Wagyu Steak (8 oz sirloin) + Hasselback potato. Food was delicious, server spot-on, and manager came around to ensure everything was good.

Service was wonderful. Our waitress was attentive, interactive, funny and inviting. Food was good, delivered fast despite being there during a very busy weekend. Drinks were great as well. Decent portions and hearty flavors. Overall we enjoyed this meal and would go back!

Crab Cakes are exceptional. - Drinks are very good - nut a little on the light side - need to improve the pours!
