Mt. Nittany Overlook Event Center

Mt. Nittany Overlook has been my preferred venue for so many celebrations in life. From my grandfather's 75th birthday party years ago, to my bridal shower in 2023, and more recently, my baby shower in 2025, it's always an easy decision on where to hold these events. Their friendly and accommodating staff are so easy to work with. The views from each floor of the venue are stunning! I see our family celebrating many, many more events in the future at Mt. Nittany Overlook Event Center. I highly recommend this venue to all who are looking for a high-class experience for their guests.

The most spectacular view I've ever seen here on spent state. We are from Pittsburgh. I highly recommend back there, it was very well very excellent.

Having my 50th Anniversary party there the end if October. They are the most pleasant people to deal with. Can't wait ti see how it all goes.

Amazing wedding experience. Everyone at the facility was nice and easy to work with. Food was wonderful, and the view absolutely beautiful.

I had my wedding ceremony and reception at Mt. Nittany Overlook Event Center in the Elevation room. The space was perfect for a live band, 2 photographers, and 50ish guests. The view is very hard to beat. Getting married on top of a mountain with a view of the valley was special and everyone loved it. The food was delicious and the bar was accommodating. If I had to go back and time and redo it all, I would do it exactly the same. A huge shout out to John and Makenzie for taking the time to email back and forth with me and have phone calls to capture my vision and make it come true. This spot really made my wedding day!

The Overlook Event Center was the perfect venue for our gathering. The space was perfect and the view is amazing. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared.

The Mt. Nittany Overlook Event Center was the perfect place to have our daughter’s wedding. The venue itself is beautiful and if you are planning a Fall wedding, you can’t beat the view with the incredible colors in the background! The staff was AMAZING and worked so well with all of our vendors to ensure every detail was exactly as we envisioned and made it a day we will never forget.

My baby shower was an obvious afterthought. We were charged over $400 for two day old unripe melon plates with berries sprinkled on top. We ran out of appetizers in less than 5 minutes after telling the catering coordinator that price wasn't an issue and paid PER HEAD which was funny considering we had 15 people less than we had anticipated. the veggie platter had 8 slices of pepper on it... condiments were still in the jar, gluten free crackers were put in the same basket with baguettes after speaking to staff repeatedly about allergies. There was NO manager or cook/chef on the premises because he left before our event started. They never replenished water and had zero sodas chilled to replenish the beverage station. I could go on, but i won't. After multiple emails, they did take some of the ridiculous charges off the bill. The whole event was embarrassing, disappointing & needlessly expensive. They definitely took advantage and I left my own shower in tears. The view is breathtaking, but after that experience, I would never go back there after the way we were treated.

The lasagna had a wonderful taste and a nice sized portion. While it was somewhat expensive, $17, all in all I'd say it was worth it for a night out. Looking forward to our next visit, maybe during daylight hours so we can see the spectacular view.

The view is absolutely breathtaking. The food is incredible. And the staff make you feel right at home. This is an amazing place to host events or just going for dinner. We are so lucky to have such an awesome venue / restaurant in Centre County!

So happy that the local owners of the Harrisons restaurant group took on this space and rebuilt it. Dinner was delicious (day boat scallop specials, pretzel crusted chicken, a barbecue beef brisket, sirloin steak, battered fish, with chocolate decadence cake & a lemon lime tart for dessert for our group) and the service was friendly and unrushed but efficient. The view across Penns Valley to Tussey Mountain is so beautiful that you could eat boiled cabbage and enjoy your meal, but luckily that is not the case here!
