Special Teas Tea Room

A lovely establishment that is, unfortunately, going out of business. Pictured are items I purchased.

Ordered takeout high tea and sandwiches. Delicious! The scones were dense and flavorful. The clotted cream was rich and the lemon curd sharp. The little desserts were just right. The tuna croissant sandwich was best in class. Although I could continue to rave about all of this, the highlight was the Paddington tea. Wow, marzipan notes were an unexpected delight. I'll need an entire canister!

Place to go to experience a special lunch. I have taken people of all ages, my grandchildren 3 and up, women and even men. They all enjoy the experience. A bit $ pricey $ but it is worth it to share a moment with special friend or love one.

This is a charming tea room and shop with delicious tea and food. It's always a treat to come here.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. For less than $20 you can get the afternoon tea which is 8 tea sandwiches, a choice of plain or raisin scone which are both absolutely delicious, and an assortment of tiny sweets and baked goods, plus a pot of whatever tea you choose. I personally adore the chocolate peppermint tea. The atmosphere is warm, cozy and welcoming. The staff is lovely and kind. I can’t say enough good things about this place.

Great selection of teas...love the Russian Caravan tea...very smokey flavor.

Love this place! We had my daughters baby shower here. It was perfect. She loves this place too! She had her burthday party here when un grade school. They let the girls carry their empty tea cups back to the kitchen if they wanted and were very a accommodating and made the girls feel welcome and grown up! Best burthday party then Baby shower ever!

Great tea, great people, love to visit

The tea is reasonably priced, and the tearoom has a pleasant atmosphere and decor. There is a large amount of food provided. Specialteas has a huge variety of teas available to try, and the gift shop is very nice. However, the filling in the sandwiches was on the stingy side and very thin to the point where one in my group couldn't even pick up the flavor of the cucumber filling. The scone was good, and the sweets were tasty. Service was okay. I would go back, but the tea could go from good to great with improved sandwich fillings.

Great spot for formal afternoon tea. Have gone twice and everything was consistently good both times.

This place is adorable!!!! I took my oldest daughter there for her bday and the special tea room instantly became their favorite place to eat.

Such a lovely place. I took my mother here for tea. She very much enjoyed herself. The afternoon tea was beautifully prepared and served.

Very cute little place. I wish the hours of operation were extended but it’s very homey and comfortable which is part of the charm. Rich tea and fresh food. Worth poking in just for the shop novelties and you can buy loose blends.
