this restaurant is very open and the atmosphere is pleasant. The sound level was acceptable. The place just felt alive. I ordered their lunch menu special. The chicken pesto sandwich was flavorful from start to finish. the homemade chips were crisp and perfect for dipping in the tomato Gouda bisque. the serve was polite and prompt. The only complaint I have is I did not see a kids menu. Whic tells me this place might not be welcoming for parents with younger children. This place is also BYOB if that is something that interest you.

My family and I typically enjoy the quality of meals here although the attentiveness and service of the wait staff is often lackluster. Yesterday we walked in, expecting to be greeted as usual and found ourselves behind four other guests who had not yet been seated. Another family of four walked in behind us, so now the waiting area is completely packed. NO ONE there, not one employee greeted any of us at all. No one said anything at all, no “welcome in”, no “we’ll be right with you.” In fact, the kitchen staff was directly staring at all of us and talking amongst themselves as if we, the guests, were the problem here. The wait staff refused to acknowledge us or even attempt eye contact. Good customer service is how you stay in business and we won’t be back.

Cafe Del Sol is my go-to spot whenever in Chambersburg for business. Normally I am there for lunch and get the Ahi Tuna Salad. Tonight I was there for dinner. Started with the Tuna Tostadas then got the Pesto Steak Rice Bowl. Everything was amazing.
