I was disappointed honestly. I heard good things about the salad bar and besides the service (Shannon was awesome!) the salad bar was the best part of the meal. My wife and I both didn't like the steak. Hers was gristle and mine was tiny for the price for the plate I was expecting more. If it wasn't for the service I would give this place a one star.

Walk in to what feels like an ok place to get a steak, to then enter a dining room that's open and airy.
Once approached to get your drink order, hope you don't have questions about a steak! The recommendation was a burger or tortellini???
Please, save yourself from being left with shock and find a real steak house!

Btw, love the ducks lined up on the wall 😁

Great service, Great salad bar, clean
We travel to Chambersburg for this specific Hoss, as others in the area are not as good.

I like Hoss's and I wish they had one near my home.

I liked the steak, but I think I enjoyed the salad bar more.

I didn't like the dry lettuce at the salad bar, and simple technique turns blah into yum. Wash and soak the lettuce in ice water for a few minutes, it makes a huge difference.

Anytime I’m traveling through PA I like to find a Hoss’s and this one was right beside a hotel so was a no brainer for me. Had a great steak and sweet potato along with the awesome salad / desert bar. Servers name was Mary and I believe the woman she was training was Emily? Either way they were both amazing!

We were visiting Granddaughter and decided to stop. Hoss's is a regional chain with a salad/bread/dessert bar. Decent steaks and seafood. Good food, enjoyed meal.

Burger was uncooked. Sweet tea tasted weird. Staff was friendly but our waitress stated she didn't like steak or spicy food so couldn't even recommend whether the occasion or the regular steak was better. Guess that seems strange to me that you work in a steakhouse and don't like steak.

DEFINITELY, not the Hoss's, I remember. Service was good, but it was a very slow lunch. My dad ordered the Philly cheese steak. It came out with big raw sections of green peppers & onions. My daughter ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, which had so much sauce on that her roll disintegrated while trying to eat it. My chicken tenders & FFs were "ok." Came excited to eat there once again and left very disappointed by the food quality. Probably won't ever return.

From years ago, I remembered an awesome salad bar: now it's extremely limited to some cold items (lettuce+, macaroni salad, etc).My steak was ok. Very attentive server.

The salad bar is getting a little skimpy and the desserts also.

They are always hospitable here, however, they were short staffed so our waitress was rushing about and apologizing if we had to wait on her. The food was very good. My favorite is the salad bar and stuffed chicken breast or beef.
