One of the loveliest experiences I’ve had in a while, the venue is beautiful, the food fantastic and everyone there was simply fantastic! Can’t wait for my next visit. And…totally worth the half hour drive for me! Highly recommended.

An incredible hidden gem. The location is beautiful, the staff is warm and inviting, and there’s a great selection of gifts and other items for sale. I’ve worked my way through several of their rotating seasonal menus and have yet to try something I didn’t enjoy. Everything I’ve had has been thoughtfully crafted, and I always look forward to coming back.
Going back again. Looked like we teleported to Italy. Enjoyed our coffee and breakfast.

Great place for brunch/lunch on a half day outing (or take a whole day when the art exhibits are open.) The whole village is full of history, architecture and ambiance.

Always such a great experience that I travel over an hour to brunch at The Mercantile with my sister. We’re very happy to support this small business.
Lovely atmosphere (so look forward to the frequent and carefully curated decor changes), friendly staff, yummy seasonal menu/beverages (banana bread chai was exceptional), tasty sweet-treats and a grab n go section just in case you don’t want to cook tonight. Oh, and there’s the opportunity for a bit of retail therapy, too! Who doesn’t enjoy that?

Cool little boutique shop and great food. Limited food items that are seasonal but what they have is delicious.
