This is by far one of the prettiest places to dine in our area. The entire property is spotless, beautiful and perfectly appointed. The staff and owner could not have been nicer or more attentive. We had sausage, bacon, pastries, italian and turkey paninis, free-range chicken with herbs, au jus & dumplings, waffles with berries, grilled vegetables. herb roasted potatoes and fresh baked artisanal rolls. The food was exceptional. The waffles were the absolute best I have ever had in my entire life. We can't wait to go back!

Went to the Alter house for a friends birthday dinner. Drinks and atmosphere were good. Our server was great and she accommodated us well. The food runners were confused as to who ordered what and one of them spilled a side of vinegar all over my neck/back and down my pants. Their way of sorry was to cover my miler lite.

Tonight me and my partner went for dinner. From the time we walked in until we left was nothing less than perfect. The service from Alyssa was amazing. The drinks were soo tastey(we had the st.pattys day themed drinks). The food was soo delicious and really big portions. We were soo full that we questioned getting dessert. I got the pork chop which was soo perfect that I barely had to chew it and cut with a butterknife!!. My partner got the chicken fricassee which he couldn't get enough of. The setting was beautiful. I could just keep going. I highly recommend anyone to stop in.

Their attention to detail - from the thoughtfulness of serving delicious local /organic food & dinner-appropriate, live music, the attentive & proactively helpful staff, to -last but not least- the birthday card they left on the table because I was asked if we were celebrating something special when making our reservation is just beyond. As mentioned earlier- the food is delicious. We shared the Beet & whipped ricotta salad (yum), baked Brie (double yum) as starters after our unbelievable handcrafted cocktails were delivered. For entrees - we were all happy - especially the birthday girl who made the right decision when she ordered the Smash Burger! Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong here - regardless of what you order. Stop reading & make your reservation now. You won't be sorry. If you're looking for a delectable, homegrown, sophisticated, seasonal menu, great service, and a cool vibe- Alter House checks all the boxes. And, if you're lucky, Alyssa will be your server.
Alter House has been our choice on several occasions when we want an excellent meal with attentive service. Our menu choices this time--short ribs and Artic char--were done to perfection and complemented by a flavorful choice of veggies. We'll be back.

Add a cup of soup to your order! You won't be sorry. Last week was a crab bisque (there was crab in every single spoonful!) this week, Butternut Squash. I have their soup every single week and am never disappointed!
