Greystone Gardens is an obscure but fabulous restaurant in the Clark Summit area. We made a last-minute reservation at noon on a Wednesday for 6 PM for seven people. There were three other tables, but only two people serving, including the owner. I don't think they were prepared for us as Service was much slower than normal. Having said that the food was amazing as was the ambience. My only suggestion to management would be closing off reservations the day before in the event there is not enough staff to adequately serve or prepare the food for customers. It also could've been an off day or somebody canceled work. Despite the unusually slow service, I would definitely recommend Greystone Gardens. Just make your reservation a few days in advance.

We ate here with another couple on a Friday night. There were only 4 other tables with people. I thought the food was pretty good, both men were complaining about the portion sizes. I don't think they were ridiculously small, but the small plates made them seem smaller. I also noticed that the sauce for my kabob barely covered the bottom of the little dish they served it in. It was like they were conserving sauce. They certainly were not generous, and I thought the prices were pretty high for what you got. Menu prices on Yelp are outdated. Service was decent, but very slow. I actually like slower service, but this was too slow. It was 40 minutes from when we sat down until we got our appetizers. My overall impression is maybe they were struggling. Few customers, tiny wine pours, high prices, small portions, slow service (meaning maybe minimal employees?) all add up to imply they are hurting. The food was good though so give them a try as long as you have time to wait. I hope they make it.

The atmosphere is great. It's quiet and unique. This is the second time I've been there and the first time I really enjoyed the food and this time although food was cooked perfectly, it lacked flavor.

I fully enjoyed my dining experience at Cafe Greystone. The new chef is truly a talent. The dish I had was both flavorful and satisfying and something I wouldn’t make on my own - always fun to try something new!

Lovely location. Very much enjoyed the experience. The little grotto with outdoor seating was inviting and cozy. Food was very good. Service was excellent. After our meal, we took a stroll through the nursery which was filled with luscious, healthy and unusual plants. Such a great find!

We sat outside under an umbrella and there was a wood thrush calling close by. The trees and greenery were a wonderful setting for a delicious meal. A few of the specials incorporated seasonal foods and were innovative and delightful. Portions were just right and there was lingering between courses to savor the experience.

We had a reservation for 2 for lunch and when we arrived we were told it would be a bit of a wait, which was fine for us. We sat at the bar while we waited for a table outside. The pear martini was very good, just as ordered, not too sweet! My friend ordered a Champagne and it was served in a dirty glass. We waited 10 minutes to be able to let someone know and they replaced it right away. Our 3rd person ordered a margarita and it was served in a martini glass and so strong she could not drink it. I would definitely stick with wine here. They do have a very nice wine list. We were finally seated. About an hour later, and the server was actually the only server we saw working the interior of the restaurant and the three or four tables outside. Possibly they were understaffed that day? the server was very nice but a bit out of sorts because she was so busy. The food came out very quickly, and was very very good. I would definitely give them another try, but when they are fully staffed. The servers were very kind, however, we felt they should have not charged us for the margarita, because it was so bad. In any event, it's worth another try!

I came here for a lunch with a friend and was very impressed with how lovely the dining room is. It is whimsical and elegant, in a setting with lovely pieces of decor and plant life. The atmosphere immediately puts you at ease and in the mood to enjoy a lovely experience. Our waitress was perfect - sweet and proficient at the same time. I liked the menu a lot, a whole lot! We do not have huge appetites, so we opted to split the crab cake meal and the crab small plate/ appetizer. The appetizer had a lovely dressing on the crab, mango and avocado. Absolutely delicious. It reminded me of ceviche, but the crab was cooked. So delicate and flavorful. The kitchen was very kind about us splitting the crab cake meal. They actually made two crab cakes for us and put our portions on separate plates for us. The combination of these two plates was perfection. The crab cake came with quinoa and fresh tomato, lettuce and such. There were so many things on the menu that I wanted that I will definitely be returning. I usually don't look to come back to the same restaurant over and over again because I love trying out new restaurants. However, I have already asked my daughter and husband to return with me so we can try the other dishes. There is a definite Mediterranean slant, with Lebanese dishes that you don't see every day, especially in northeastern Pennsylvania.Don't miss this place, not just for the food but for the beautiful surroundings, amazing gift shop and also the garden center outside.
