Have gone to Peggy's several times. Food and service is always good! Those of you that complain of the cash only, they have an ATM in the restaurant! Stop complaining!!!

The place only excepts cash. I drove 40 minutes to try the Dinner and when arriving had a paper in the window by the door saying ABSOLUTELY NO CARDS OR CHECK EXCEPTED. Not everyone carries cash anymore. There is no reason to do this unless you are committing tax fraud. I was not going to go find an ATM to get cash out and drive back. I chose to drive 20 minutes further and ate at another small restaurant Jean Bonnett Tavern. Which was worth the drive. If you don't want to take my money how I am willing to pay then you don't get my money.

This place is a got to go to diner. If you're passing through town or live in the area you're going to want to eat the good food for a good price.

We have been there several times. Always good. The waitress is always nice. Decided to go this past Thursday. The older taller lady was the waitress. Place not busy. Took her forever to come to table. Took orders finally. I ordered meatloaf bc everyone said how good it was. My friend ordered hot roast beef sandwich. Other friend the chicken and fish planks. I couldn't even cut the meatloaf bc they gave me the end. Was burnt. My friends roast beef was cold. Lady in back came out Took hers to heat up. I told her mine was hard and burnt Took it. The waitress stood at counter and yelled. people r waiting bc their food was cold. When she brought food back I told her mine wasn't cold. Was hard and burnt. My other friends fish and chicken crust was so hard he couldn't cut it. Terrible and I don't usually complain when I go out. Not a good experience.
