Cricket Catering

We chose Cricket Catering for our daughter’s wedding at the Duportail House - Chesterbrook the weekend of 10/19/24. I cannot say enough about how wonderful all of the food was. Owner/operator Drew was so easy to work with. When we first went to his facility for a tasting we were shocked by the amount of and the variety of the foods he served us, all at no cost. We sampled everything from appetizers to desserts. We chose a buffet style service which included a taco/fajita bar as well as three other entrees and side dishes. Drew was also very attentive to our guests with dietary issues. Items which were gluten free were clearly labeled as such. At the last minute we informed him of our need for two vegan meals which he prepared and served directly to those guests! What added to the event was his wonderful staff. The servers were so polite, warm, and friendly. We fell in love with them and especially the bartender!! She was the best!! Drew was also very accommodating with allowing us to bring in our own desserts, which included a waffle and ice cream food truck. Most caterers would not allow such things. Planning a wedding can be very anxiety producing, but Drew made the catering part of it as easy as can be. The guests are still raving about the food!

We had a wonderful experience with Drew at Cricket Catering from the tasting to the day of our wedding! Drew and his staff were professional and attentive. Drew accommodated several guests with allergies and dietary preferences. We shared our vision of a Pittsburgh Cookie Table/Italian Pastries and he delivered an unbelievable amount of treats including gluten free treats for our guests! (it was a crowd pleaser).

Drew from cricket catering was very easy to work with. He was responsive and flexible when it came to creating our menu all the way down to the tasting. And the food is amazing! No complaints whatsoever. I would use him for any event!

We had Cricket Catering cater our wedding this past November and we are beyond happy that we did! We first met Drew during the food tasting and he was great with helping us plan our wedding menu. He had a wide variety of food prepared for us to taste and we especially enjoyed the house-made sauces. We received multiple compliments from our guests about how amazing all the food and staff were on our wedding day. The salmon that was served was a favorite of my husband's, who normally doesn't like fish at all. The staff brought out hors d'oeuvres to where the bridal party/family were taking pictures during cocktail hour and even handed out glasses of champagne to us before our reception entrance, which was greatly appreciated. Everyone was very kind and accommodating throughout the entire day and we were more than satisfied with Drew and his team.

Cricket Catering provided catering and service for our wedding. Drew was eager to please and communicative, checking several times to ensure all details were captured and clear. Soon after booking, he arranged a tasting for myself, the groom, and both sets of parents. The tasting had so much food that we were uncomfortably full at the end - in a good way! We had a hard time choosing our appetizers because everything we tried was so good. The prices were fair and Drew even encouraged us to stock our own bar to save money. Drew went above and beyond to accommodate dietary restrictions, making a separate plate of gluten-free and dairy-free appetizers and a few separate entrees for guests. Food was served on time and people were able to move through the buffet efficiently. There was no shortage of food and we received many compliments on how good everything tasted, plus a bunch of leftovers boxed up for us to take home. Thank you, Cricket!

Thank you to Drew and the Cricket Catering team for their amazing job for our baby shower. When we arrived to the venue, the linens were already on the tables which made decorating for much faster. The food was fantastic, the set up was professional and elegant, and the staff was unbelievably kind and helpful. Our guests are still raving about the wonderful evening. The passed hors d’oeuvres were my favorite of the evening, so well made, and handled by the staff. The servers made sure everyone tried them, and were so nice at the buffet, serving a delicious dinner! The staff even helped set up a last minute coffee table. The bartender tended to all of our guests and made sure everyone had a drink within minutes even when a long line showed up. Drew was so pleasant and professional to work with throughout the planning process, as we did make a few changes along the way. We are so grateful for Drew and Cricket catering and all of their hard work that made our baby shower unforgettable! We will highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer!

I used cricket catering for my wedding at Sage Farmhouse. I can’t say enough good things about Drew. He was professional and kind. He helped me pick the perfect menu for my wedding. The food was delicious!! All of my guests loved the food. His team went above and beyond to make sure my wedding was perfect!! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience working with Drew and Cricket Catering for our wedding at the Duportail House. He was extremely kind and professional, and did an amazing job doing a lot of the organizing/planning (how many tables to do, which ones where, setting up the ceremony/chairs, etc.) which made our lives so much easier and our special day stress-free. He was very accommodating of our vegan/vegetarian menu and the food was delicious - we got many compliments on it. Our guests noted how friendly and great all of the servers/staff were as well. He did so much to make our day go smoothly, and we couldn’t be more thankful!

We had Drew and Cricket Catering provide the catering services for our outdoor mini reception (35 people) in October. They exceeded our expectations! We received MANY compliments from our guests about how great the food was. The staff was phenomenal- very helpful and they even rushed over to help me pin up the bustle on my dress when a button fell off. They were also extremely diligent in cleaning up after the event; the venue reached out to us to provide compliments on how well done it was. We highly recommend them!

My company hired Cricket Catering for two days .I don’t like to write bad comments but I have to be honest , this cricket Catering need to check their system of work because the food was Terrible .most of my coworkers left all the food because it didn't taste very good

We have used cricket catering for our son's graduation last June in our home and Drew along with the staff are so Professional and our guests spoke highly about the delicious food.
