Mario's Restaurant & Pizzeria

The food was so good and the people were so nice and friendly thank you so much!

My husband & I recently moved into the area and were looking for celiac safe food. He called the restaurant to check that they do more than using gluten free pasta (like cooking it in separate water). Mario, the owner/chef assured him that the food would be safe. Not only has it been safe but also delicious. My husband always gets the penne caprese and he loves it. I have had the shrimp scampi and was very pleased with it…plenty of large shrimp and the sauce was delicious. I have had the BLT multiple times and it seems like such a simple sandwich however, once you have a stellar version you realize that every other one you’ve ever had was merely just ok (I don’t need to eat gluten free).

Mario’s is a hidden gem! We’ve lived in the area for 3 decades and never really landed on a “go to” pizza place, but now we have. We’ve been there 3 times (take out) and the pizza, calzone, stromboli, and wings were just great! We’ll definitely be going back since we now have our SPOT.

Absolutely amazing pizza! We had the chicken bacon ranch pizza. The flavors were savory and the crust was crunchy. The balance of ingredients were perfect. The sauce was just enough with a mix of chicken and bacon. The fries were crisp and cooked perfectly. The service from Jeffrey, our server, was amazing- polite, personable, and friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed and family friendly. I recommend trying this place.

First time. Had heard the word from a few different people and tried it ourselves. It was worth it and the family running it were very nice. Spread the word and help them grow.

Stopped on our way to home from the local state park. We had Calamari and Pizza.
Everything was good and fresh.
We met Mario the owner, very nice guy!
Tried his famous Bread pudding for dessert.
This place highly recommended.
We will be back with friends and maybe try his seafood pasta.

Well I just had the best pizza ever and highly recommend! Myself and siblings were there today after a trip to Ursinus and we were blown away by the food and the team who work at Mario’s. We had a grandma’s pie plus some apps. Everything was fantastic. Jeffrey and his Dad welcomed us and made sure we were happy. Thank you for a great experience and we will definitely find you again anytime we are back in the area! Wishing you a long and prosperous business!

Food is fantastic! Haven’t had wings this good in a long time. Tried the chicken bacon ranch Sicilian and was not disappointed. Garlic knots were soft and fresh. Hard working and friendly family business. Cozy adjacent bar with decent selection and good pours. Off the beaten path but definitely worth the stop.

We are on a hunt for the best local pizzeria. The family headed by Mario in the back and Jeffrey in the front of house are attentive and kind. The pizza was very good. We had a meat lovers pizza and a Sicilian cheese pizza. The Sicilian pizzas crust was excellent. All in all we would definitely go back and/or order takeout. Thank you for a great Saturday night out.
