River's Edge Cafe Bed & Breakfast

The restaurant was full of Nostalgia. Lots of nods to another place and time, so to speak. Wallpaper and decor, everything we hoped it would be. We had never visited before and they acted as if they couldn't seat us, as we didn't have a reservation. We were given a table, facing the wall, but, we were glad to be seated. Our server great, but the staff were very busy, and taking care of various tables, and appeared overwhelmed. I ordered a salad and the Butternut Squash soup. I can't possibly explain how bad this was. It was made with beef stock. I sent it back. Our server offered the Pumpkin Bisque because she shared she knew it was made w Chicken Stock. I declined. It tasted similar to Beef Vegetable soup years ago, by Campbells soup in a can. My husband tasted it, and could not eat it either. The salad was great, but the soup could not be eaten. The soup acted as my Entree, as I was tired by traveling. It was a miss for me. They took the charge off of my bill. I left feeling hungry and frustrated.

We didn't made a reservation so had to wait for 30 min but it was worth it. Wonderful food and service.

Just had food. It was good. Made to order and fresh. The place to stop if you ride in from Ohiopyle. The menu is diverse and the fries are the best. The beer list could use some updating

Food made me very sick and staff was extremely rude , will not be back. Overpriced for food poisoning. $90 for lunch. Beautiful view wasted on pretentious staff and sub par food. Waitress couldn’t be bothered with refilling drinks nor bringing mayo we’d ordered with our sandwich till we were done eating.

My friend and I booked a room for 2. When we arrived we were taken to a room that only had 1 bed and a sleeper couch. My friend slept on the couch and said it was uncomfortable. Our 2 other friends stayed in another building, same place that had breakfast. The owner told us breakfast was not included and told us where to go to eat breakfast. We both paid the same. The place had a café. The place is listed as an Airbnb. Obviously not all rooms get breakfast. We were most disappointed that one of us had to sleep on a sleeper couch. Because of the cancellation policy we couldn't go to another place

Great food and atmosphere i recommend this place

We stopped for late lunch and sat outside on the deck/porch with close view of the river and eclectic garden with flower's. The dishes were artfully prepared and were excellent. We stumbled on this place and were so pleased we found it.

Stopped for lunch with my brother and sister Thursday. The food and service were exceptional. I’m from the DC area having spent my life in the restaurant business. River’s Edge Cafe equals some of the best places I’ve been to down here, both in food and service. And the ambiance is hands-down perfect.

My husband and I stopped here while riding the GAP rail trail. Service was outstanding. We both had the Rivers Edge Special salad. My husband added salmon and I added chicken. Delicious. I also had Champagne Vinaigrette on my salad. Very tasty.

We were down there last week and we stayed at the bed and breakfast and ate at the restaurant three times. Restaurant has great staff, a creative and wonderfully tasteful menu, and a beautiful view of the river. The bread and breakfast has a balcony that overlooks the river which is a super relaxing place to sit. All in all it has great ambiance with great people.. what more could you ask for?

awesome location, awesome staff, beautiful decor, food was a bit bland, but otherwise a great lunch! my dad really enjoyed his meal (please be kind that's just his face)

Great food & friendly service with a pretty view of the river. Did not stay in hotel, just ate in Cafe.

Amazing food and excellent service. Ryan did an awsome job keeping us happy and the food and dessert were outstanding.
