“Great coffee and cool atmosphere. Hopefully they get support from the local community”
“We went here after visiting Falling water and Kentuck Knob. The drive from Ohiopyle was quite enjoyable. We were pleased to see how magical River’s Edge Cafe looked when we drove up. It was a fantastically beautiful evening and we sat out on the porch with a view of the river. Little did we know we would also get to do some bird watching too. The service was great and so was the food. You’ll be happy to have dined here.”

“awesome food and good people all around.”
“My family and I ordered from the Front Porch today. Everyone in the kitchen did such a good job. The food is amazing adding the aluminum foil to the containers kept our food hot greatly appreciate. The time in the care everyone puts in thank you so much. If you’ve had a busy day order from the Front Porch, they’ll take time and care and feeding your family. When you don’t have the time. !”
“A clean bar with cold beer and great service. It's family friendly too with a diverse crowd of everyone. The food is carefully prepared and nicely presented with specials to keep things interesting. The wings are the best anywhere in the area - cleaned properly, cooked to just the right amount of crispness, and the hot buffalos are seasoned just right. Highly recommend.”

“Our family (me, my wife, and 22-year old son) stayed in Room 102 on the 2nd night of our GAP Trail ride. The Inn was clean, cool, and convenient. Super near the the Ohiopyle Trail Head, and steps from the Ohiopyle Coffee Shop. We would definitely recommend the Inn, esp for GAP Trail riders.”

“For a Campground, the food is surprisingly good and the prices are extremely affordable. We had a cheesesteak which is very good and my kids had the five dollar kids meals that was a great bargain.”

“Found this hidden gem after spending time on the river through Wilderness Voyageurs. The owners are super friendly and attentive. The sandwiches are not only delicious but served in hardy portions. Chicken sandwich came with a HUGE piece of chicken and the grilled turkey sandwich was stacked high and equally delicious. Got the tater tot appetizer and wow, enough tots for a small army! Thanks for treating these weary river kayakers so well.”
“Little shop featuring Hershey's Ice Cream. Staff are very friendly! Only complaint is I wish they would enforce a no smoking rule on the porch. Every time we've eaten here, there are, for some reason, a lot of smokers congregated on the porch.”
“This is a beautiful place. I have been going there with my family for more than twenty years. The restaurant fits perfectly with the rest of the scene at Ohiopyle.”

“Such a cute little spot with FRESH food. We had the best homemade biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had. We also ordered donuts to go, both of which tasted like the just came out of the oven. We had iced coffees and they were so good we ordered another one to go!”
“A variety of fun in the heart of OhioPyle!
When our family made a day trip to Ohiopyle, it was a hot day and we were definitely in need of some cold drinks. The Old Mill General Store was open and we popped in to check it out. What an interesting place! Not only do they have drinks, ice cream, souvenirs, and such, but they have a mini museum to check out.
For the kids, they have a variety of old Timey type, nostalgic toys and books. For the adventurers, they have some books based off of plants, flowers, rocks and hiking.
You can also purchase bags for mining gemstones. If you’re staying in the area and wanting something for the kids to do, the mining is a really nice choice. The mining area is right outside of the building.
And then you have everything else that you might need, a ballcap, a T-shirt or some postcards to send out.
I would definitely return on my next visit to Ohiopyle!”

“Before Curt's was Glisan's. This was/is a truckstop on the National Pike (Rt. 40). There are no "pre-made" baked goods. Their dinner rolls are the size of your head, and their pies (in my opinion) are legendary! The coffee was very nice, and I asked our waitress what they used, her reply was "Maxwell House". I guess the trick is mountain water. Unless you're Anthony Bordain, you'll be more than satisfied with your dinner.”

“We spend so much time looking for the quickest route from one place to another that we sometimes miss the places that make the journey memorable. If you’re traveling the Historic National Road, Route 40, give yourself an extra 10 minutes and pull into Confluence. Pamela’s Pints & Provisions is exactly the kind of locally owned place that reminds you why taking the scenic route is worth it.
From the moment we walked in, you could tell the owners have poured a lot of thought into this place. It’s warm, comfortable, beautifully designed, and the kind of spot where you immediately want to slow down and stay awhile. Whether you’re relaxing inside, enjoying the patio, or sipping a cocktail before your meal, everything just feels inviting.
The food completely exceeded every expectation I had. I ordered the Hawaii 5.0 flatbread, and I honestly couldn’t believe how much ham they packed onto it. Every bite was loaded with flavor. The chicken noodle soup tasted like the kind that’s been simmering for hours, with tender shredded chicken, potatoes that had soaked up every bit of that rich broth, vegetables, and all the comfort you could ask for in a bowl. I paired everything with a strawberry mule that was every bit as good as the food.
What impressed me most is that nothing here felt like an afterthought. The cocktails were crafted with care, the food was beautifully prepared, and every detail made it feel like the owners truly enjoy what they’re creating. Looking around the dining room, the bar, and the outdoor spaces, you can tell this isn’t just another stop along the road. It’s a place people have invested themselves in, and it shows.
As we were leaving, I caught myself thinking about how many people probably drive right past this place without ever knowing what’s here. That’s a shame, because this is exactly the kind of locally owned business that makes exploring the Historic National Road worthwhile. Great food, great drinks, thoughtful people, and a place that clearly has a lot of heart behind it.”
