“Diverse flavors, big portions, outdoor tables. They can split one scoop into 2 flavors so a good option to try a few flavors if you can't decide. Moosetracks and cherry was great, Superman wasn't that great.”
“This a very cute store/restaurant. The breakfast sandwich was good, they made it fresh to order. The coffee was just ok. In the evening we came back for ice cream. The peanut butter overload. Is the treat everyone needs in their lives! Nothing like a frozen treat while taking in the sites of a rushing river. They sell some really nice merchandise inside. I still regret not purchasing a hat. I guess I will have to next time.Parking: Street parking and the park offers a large lot.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of fun food for kids.”
“Such a cute little spot with FRESH food. We had the best homemade biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had. We also ordered donuts to go, both of which tasted like the just came out of the oven. We had iced coffees and they were so good we ordered another one to go!”
“Friendly counter service, pizzas came out fast (3 14 inches for 6 people as we had been hiking since early morning). Mixed reviews on the pizza, some loved it and others felt their pizza crust was a bit undercooked. All the ingredients seemed fresh. The building is neat looking and in a nice location. The tables all clean. Fountain drinks. We are just sad we were too full to try the ice cream sandwiches on fresh cookies.”
“I enjoyed my breakfast and tea here this morning before the hike me and our furbabies took to celebrate the fourth our furry own way. Thank you for being open. I enjoyed my breakfast.Dietary restrictions: I'm keto so I don't eat carbs or sugar. I ate a breakfast sandwich without bun.”
“The wife decided to commandeer the majority of the black raspberry ice cream we got here (as I write this she protests: "We *shared* it! We did!"). In her defense it really was that good. I had just made some cherry ice cream at home a week or so prior and it wasn't nearly as excellent, and I'm trying to figure out what sorcery they invoke as they churn this creamy ambrosia. I suspect xanthum gum and a dollop of flavoring, as this ice cream's raspberrosity exploded on the tongue in a firework of comestible delight. Whatever wizardry used by the ice cream company that they sell here, come here and try it - you won't be disappointed. It makes Brewster's, Baskin Robbins, and Cold Stone Creamery look like amateurs.”
“My husband who is a meat eater loves this place and so do I. We cook most of our food at home and are VERY picky when we choose to go out and this place never disappoints us. They have a separate winter menu since ohiopyle doesn't get any tourists in the winter, but the lentil loaf did not disappoint. The broccoli and mashed potatoes were delicious. In the summer you can sit outside at their outdoor bar or picnic tables. Pets are welcome too. Love that this place always has a delicious option for me!”
“Service was great! The coffee was on par with other Mom and Pop coffee shops, but the maple walnut coffee cake was divine. Really excellent location also, very savvy to build it on the corner in the Laurel Caverns vicinity. I would imagine it would be a popular hangout place for youngsters around those parts. Cozy seating and clean restrooms also. A hidden gem!”
“An amazing gem in Confluence in a building beautifully restored — great art by regional artists and craft coffee from Commonplace out of Pittsburgh. Can't wait to go back and cozy up by the wood-burning stove.”
“Exactly what Connelsville needed! We travel to and through the area a lot for hiking, biking and kayaking and always needed a good place to stop. Yough River nailed it. We've been a half dozen times and the only complaint is we wish we could make it our regular place! The space itself is inviting, clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are immaculate. The beer- haven't had a bad one yet; they've all been great to excellent. The staff too is the best. Awesome variety of food trucks and fantastic outdoor spot.If you're in the area, give it a try!”
“My son's hockey team had a team dinner. They all said the pizza was good. I sat at the bar, had the Firecracker burger and fresh cut fries. Very good! And the bartender (her name slips my mind, but she had blonde hair and tattoos) was very good. Friendly and attentive. Don't get over there much, but next time I do, I will eat there again.”
“Great place to grab a coffee to sit or on the go. Nice selection of coffees as well. The staff was very patient. If you're in the area stop by and support a local small business.”
“Everything about this place deserves a 5 star rating: the food is incredible, the service is friendly and personable, the atmosphere is lovely, the little cat that hangs around is even adorable. My partner and I were doing a weekend trip to hike and relax and this was the perfect spot to end on trip on a Sunday. It's not common to see London Fog Lattes on any menu, so I have to try one when I do, and this was one of the best I've ever had. If you're a tea lover, I highly suggest trying it. The Bird and the Angry Bird were both amazing, you can taste the quality in the food and the coleslaw is a must. I can't say enough about this place, everything they're about is positive. We were too full to try a smoothie, so we've decided that's just another reason to return soon.”
“Impeccable service and food. Foodies will love it here. Excellent wine too. Overall, a wonderful experience for those with good taste and who know excellent wine and food. Such a comfortable setting and experience.”
“Stopped here as a part of the Laurel Highlands Pour Tour. There was an event happening that day so parking was at a premium. The grounds are nice offering a covered deck, vast grassy areas to sit or walk around and a lake that you can sit by. The tasting room has tables that you can sit inside as well. They offer 4 free samples. They have a wide variety of wines to choose from. They offer meat and cheese plates and crackers for purchase as well. The tasting room employees were friendly and attentive even though they were quite busy. The tasting room also has a lot of wine themed items for purchase.”
“First time here The food was great the staff was friendly and courteous I would have taken a pic of my food but it looked too good to wait I got a ham and cheese omelette and added sausage paired with Texas toast it tasted like they toasted it on a griddle which is a whole lot better I definitely be a repeat customer I just wish they wrote the total on the bill but I understand why they did it that way”
“Great staff and even better food. My fish sandwich was awesome and the fries are great. If you want good place to eat definitely pay them a visit. You will not regret it.”
“What a gem! Found this wonderful place completely on the fly. We had booked a place to stay in Ohiopyle only to discover none of the food opens were open (off season). Went for a little drive and stopped here. The place is cute, clean and welcoming. The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious.Back to add this: We got a bag of 4 pepperoni rolls to eat later. I give them 6 stars! Perfect amount of cheese (as in to to much), fantastic pepperoni, and the bread has just a hint of sweetness. Perfectly balanced flavor.”
“No green tea but i had my own. The waitress didnt have any vofffee cups so she sanitized her private cup and brought me hot water. Very kind of her. Otherwise, the food is a thee. The beef hoagie was tooo dry and the onion rings, although excellent tasking were greasy.”
“We enjoyed a late dinner here on our way to Falling water. We were on a motorcycle but there seemed to be plenty of places to park.Parking: We parked right up front on our motorcycle.”
“This is the mid range priced restaurant at Nemacolin. Service was efficient. Grilled salad was not grilled...just lightly torched and very cold. Otherwise our meals were good. Ambience is lovely and Falling Rock Hotel is beautiful.”
“I have always wanted to stop here on Route 40, on way from DC to Columbus, in the beautiful Laurel Highlands. Looked inviting and I thought they might have good pies and this was confirmed. They are made by their other family operation Ohiopyle Bakery. Unique interesting place with friendly service. She made a great recommendation: Caramel Apple pie. One of the best ever. All their pies are appealing with artistic crusts. My pie crust was perfect in texture and had wonderful flavor. Apples not overcooked, the right size slices, and caramel flavor great without being too sweet. Need to go back to DC soon so I can get another and also try their pizza pie. Fall foliage starting to look good in that area now.”
“Found this little gem while in the area with customers going to fallingwater!! Gotta say the food was very cheap, good quality, and some of the fastest service I've ever gotten. Also great little family place all the workers were super nice and friendly!!! Will definitely go back anytime I'm in the area.”
“I stop every year when I go camping with my kids and now grandkids love the food pizza is fantastic the staff are so incredibly nice it's like being at home.Wheelchair accessibility: Store front entrance table outside and a low table for 2 in entry way for wheelchair to comfortably sit to eat with a high close for additional family to be close.”
“Great Service!!! ordered a meal for two and they forgot one item and was willing to deliver it to my cabin and kindly gave me delicious chocolate covered strawberry as an apology I’m not from around Pennsylvania but I learned that there are great people out here!”
“Hole in the wall dining at it's finest. The pulled pork is saucy and delicious, the brisket is fabulous. It is a side of the road stop which is well worth it. But get there early as word is getting out and he sells out fast.Wheelchair accessibility: This is outdoor dining.”
“Great little pizza shop. Very friendly and helpful staff. We were visiting the area and didn't really know what we wanted. The staff was very kind and patient, and even told us about deals that were going on, which was cool and saved us money. The food was delicious. We got Wedgies, which are basically calzones, but better for some reason. I think it was because of the crust ingredients. It was like a gyro and calzone mix, very good. At least the chicken one was. I also got their potato wedges, which were good. They weren't over seasoned and they were the perfect amount of crunchy yet soft. Plenty of parking and space to maneuver in the parking lot of this business strip mall area. I'd definitely go back.Parking: Nice parking area. Plenty of room and spaces.”
“Me and my girl just tried a Italian hoagie and a chicken hoagie and it was awesome. Thank goodness I got foot long cause after my 6 inch Italian I had the other 6 let. ?? Great job guys.*ALL MAKE SURE YOU TOAST ”
“I’d like to give feedback because I would like to see this business thrive. So it’s not a bad review just constructive criticism. When I went into the shop it has a wonderful atmosphere cute and clean. The lady that was taking orders was very nice and friendly and warm. But there were only two people working. The other girl was a little behind and fighting with the lady taking orders. It was very crowded and EVERYONE heard her fighting with the lady making it very awkward for all the customers in there. It was very uncomfortable. I understand that lady was doing the orders all by herself but that was not handled in a professional manner. If this coffee shop is gonna thrive that should probably be addressed. However, what I ordered was very good! The only thing I recommend here is if you have tapioca balls in your drinks that you have a special straw for them. Not only did I wait about 20 mins for my tea but I couldn’t drink it fully because it kept getting stuck on the tapioca.I hope next time I come to visit these slight problems are fixed.”
