Mixed drinks were awesome. Our dinner was in the ballroom and was quite good.

Is now called "Caroline's" and is as about as disappointing as you might expect from a business hotel restaurant. Chicken sandwich was tough, stringy, and chewy. Decor looks like cross between a Walmart and an operating room. Bright white eye straining florescent light and cheap uncomfortable furniture. The Old Fashioned cocktail uses decent whiskey but as cheap as possible on every other ingredient. Served unstirred and room temp with a rock. All the whiskey on top, and the bottom was basically just syrup. Nuclear red "cherries" in bottom. Fine for a dive bar, but for $15 I expected better.

They weren't really ready for the large group of Legionaires coming out of a meeting that was held in the hotel. The staff were very friendly and happy to try give us the best meal. The classic Caesar salad was very filling and tasted good. The Angus burger hubby ordered finally came out just enough time for him to get a couple of bites in before he had another meeting. The name of the restaurant is now Caroline's instead of Jackson's. I hope if the American Legion decides to come back to this place, the hotel will will be able to handle it better with more help for the wait staff in the restaurant for Friday afternoon, evening, Saturday- whole day and evening plus Sunday morning.

Tried the Perogis yummy! Followed by a salad topped with French fries, apparently at Pittsburgh tradition. It was good!

Went to Jackson’s before a concert at the UPMC Event Center on the Robert Morris college campus. The bar area was beginning to fill up with concert goers. Ordered appetizers and both had lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was a pumpkin color and had small pieces of shrimp in it. It was a tiny portion and it was not cheap. I would not order that again. We ordered pierogies, chicken quesadillas and chicken wings. We had one martini each and our bill was over $90 plus tip. Zero atmosphere. The bartender was great and she was extremely busy. I don’t recommend Jackson’s. Go to Primanti’s across the street and grab a good sandwich instead.

Our waitress was very nice, just not overly attentive. The menu is quite small and no original creative recipes. Our meals were good. Requests were not followed, like no tomato and extra mustard.

Burger and fries, out standing! Bring your wallet, but worth it.

We were staying at the Hamilton Inn and decided to walk over for dinner. Best. Decision. EVER. The food was incredible. So fresh, and beyond our expectations. Service was fast and friendly. We will be going again before the end of our trip for sure. Totally recommend!

Great service. Had both dinner and breakfast there. Both were very good.

Christie was awesome. We got in like 30 minutes before close and nobody was prissy. Our server was super laid back and didn't rush us out.

Considering the area, a good place to eat and cocktails as well.
