The atmosphere was top notch as was the service. Impeccable.
The food (veal parm) was delicious, tender and tasty. Desert was a slight let down only because the entree was soooo good.

Always excellent service, excellent food, and a great atmosphere. Love it here and have for many years.
Kid-friendliness: There are many friendly options for kids, but it’s not a place for them to run around

I have tried this place three times now, and I do not care for their food. The service, however, is great.

This IS the best Italian restaurant in Westmoreland county. The chicken Romano melts in your mouth, and the gnocchi and sauce taste just like what your grandpa made. The meatballs are kid friendly. Delicious tiramisu too! Italian home cooking at its finest. Make a reservation and come here!
Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu with lots of pasta options served with a meatball or meat sauce. The meatballs are a hit with kids and the portions are fantastic.

I had my wedding here. Everything was amazing! Lynn Welles was a blessing through the entire process if booking our day clear up to being there the day of our wedding!
We orderded our cake from Rizzo's pastry chef. Not only was it convenient but it was delicious. We received alot of compliments on the food, cake and venue!
Would definately recommend Rizzo's for your event!

I hate leaving bad reviews, and I usually don't leave them, but I seriously don't understand the overwhelming amount of good reviews this place has. We went for the first time tonight and were underwhelmed. The restaurant itself is very nice and our server was pleasant and attentive, but that's pretty much where the positives stop. The host, who I think was possibly a manager, was less than friendly. He barely offered a hello when we came in and immediately asked if we had a reservation. We did not & he seemed super annoyed by that. We got there before the dinner rush and were able to get seated immediately. Even when we were leaving, the dining room was still only a quarter of the way filled so I don't get the attitude. On to the food. My husband got the chicken parm. It was not breaded and was thick, tough, and dry. You could barely cut it. I got the Italian sampler & half of it was spaghetti, the gnocchi tasted like the chewy tasteless packaged stuff, and the piece of lasagna was super small. It was maybe only 4-5 bites. The ravioli was just ok. The overall portion size of the meals were decent but the quality was mediocre at best. The sauce was the best part but still not good enough to make us go back. The price did NOT match the quality. I'd rather have smaller portions of good food than larger portions of bad food. From the time we were sat at our table to when we finished eating was maybe 20-30 minutes total. Our waitress brought our meals out literally 5 min after she took our order. The fact that our food came out immediately tells me that everything is pre-cooked & just run thru the oven or microwave to melt any cheese before they bring it out. Even she agreed it came out super fast when we commented about it. We were hoping for a new go to Italian place but this will be our one and only visit.

It was our first time dining there. Staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions and answered our questions. We ordered meat ravioli, spaghetti (large is $1 more than small), the gnocchi with fresh water and the combination dinners. Bread was fresh and very good. The combination dinner had lasagna, spaghetti, gnocchi and both meat and cheese ravioli. The gnocchi alla Telefono has fresh mozzarella stirred into the sauce making it extra creamy. Portions were all large and we each took food home, plenty enough for another meal. Would highly recommend all of what we tried. Excellent food.
They also do catering and have a wedding facility and a shop. We didn't get to go in the shop but chocolate is mentioned ?
Wheelchair accessibility: Parking lot, entrance and inside restaurant all wheelchair accessible. Dining area is spacious, easy to navigate.

I can't begin to say how utterly disappointed I am with my take out order I just picked up. I got 2 dinners and the lid on 1 was smashed and the sauce was everywhere. The bread, I think it was supposed to be scraps, but I got it. It was smashed together and most of it was just the crust. No butter, and only 1 cheese. I will really have to think twice before driving there again.
I wish I could post pictures of this.
