So pretty good place for baked goods and food. My problem is with the incompetent children they have working there. Specifically go for sourdough bread and every time they say they can’t slice the damn bread!! I mean you put it in the machine it does all the work. I don’t want to nor do I have the time to try and slice fresh bread into nice equal slices

I had to go to the nearby electronics repair shop, so my wife used the opportunity to go into Loafers. She emerged with a scone, a courtesy sample of some pumpkin-spice cake or muffin and a loaf of cherry-something challah bread.
The first item I tasted was the pumpkin-spice cake & I really liked that, as did she. Good texture, not overly sweet & the pumpkin-spice flavor was obvious, but not overpowering. Later I had some of the scone, of which I've never been much of a scone fan. I see them as a biscuit with less shortening & some sweetness instead. It was decent for a scone. I will say that it was waaaay better than one that was served to us at a visit to the nearby Johnson Tea House along 228.
Lastly the challah - not good IMO. It 's unlike any challah either of us grew up with. We're used to a much richer dough; maybe eggy batter or something. This bread is just bleah. My wife grew up in eastern Long Island, so she's eaten her share of challah bread & I'm from the east end of PGH that used to have many bakeries that sold this type of bread, none of which exist now, but all made a quality loaf. We agree 100% on the quality of three items, so that in itself is not typical. So maybe next Autumn we'll return for some of the pumpkin-spice cake/bread/muffin.

Great place for soup and fresh sandwiches. Their bread is wonderful. FYI moms of young children, they do not have grilled cheese. Love the tomato basil soup. Usually not crowded for seating after 1 PM.

Friendly staff, great food, low frills.
We visited Cranberry PA as we were attending the Christmas Day Steelers game. We came in from Ontario Canada. We were treated by the most wonderful aromas of baked goods and soups. We decided on the vegetable soup and potato leek soup and Tuna salad sandwich. Everything was delicious and so so fresh. My favorite was the potato leek soup. So creamy, delicious goodness. We chose the Honey White bread... outstanding. My husband had the cherry chocolate chip muffin. It was scrumptious. I bought the caramel cashew biscotti - I've never had a better biscotti !!We will definitely be back when we visit PA again. Stop by and visit them and let them know Doris from Canada recommend the visit.

Bought bread infested with small brown flies. Got two loaves of bread about 5 days ago. First loaf of bread was fine but when I got to the second it had flies all over the bread, inside the bag. I had not opened this bag at all, and the bag was in good condition too. I enjoyed their bread but I am done eating from this place.
Great bread, great sandwich, and great service. I don’t live there but every time I’m in the area I stop in. Get the chicken soup!

Tiny piece of chicken on the sandwich and sad rolls. I could make a tastier sandwich 3x the size for half the price at home.
