Before I start off I would like who ever writes the responses to know, if the only words you have for customers is to call them names like you have done in all your negative reviews, just save yourself the time and effort and put it towards your failing business or better yet reconsider being in the industry if you cannot handle the criticism. Also bold you to be so nasty towards customers considering you can't even pass Inspection. To start we had been hiking Mount Tammany all day only eating small snacks so we were starved and couldn't bear to eat the meal! My friends and I were so excited to have ramen and experience a new and unique looking place. At first glance this looks like a decent establishment but do not let the other reviews fool you. This is not quality food or service. Which is such a sad experience because ramen is basically the only thing on their menu. Now we did eat the appetizers but I can confidently say I can get the same quality of shrimp tempura and gyoza from the freezer section at walmart. My friends ordered lemonade and to their surprise it was "homemade" which basically was cold water and a splash of lemon... we paid $3 for each. When our bowls of ramen was served the smiles on our faces were wiped off when aroma of this ramen met our noses. Pushing past the smell we tested the broth and could not get more than one singular sip. It was terrible. We decided not to eat... Now this is the part where our waitress asks if everything is okay and if we need anything, NOPE. She walked past us multiple times completely avoiding eye contact as I'm sure she is aware we were unhappy with the meal. So we personally had to go to the bar/counter to get the check to pay. There I did my best to be kind but firmly let the woman working know that we did not like entres... She then proceeded to ask multiple times what exactly is wrong with the meals but did this in a very defensive way instead of apologetically. I let her know we could not eat it, then again by saying the broth is inedible and letting her know the quality of the meat was not good. She was at least kind enough to take the three ramen off the receipt. I paid for the apps and drinks. As I was turned around to leave I was yelled at by her for not tipping staff....This is extremly extremly infuriating because while service was not terrible by the time our waitress got to our table to ask for drinks, we were ready to order. I would also like to make an honorable mention, if you wanted water you had to go to the bar and serve yourself. The only other time she approached us was to serve us the food... yeah not tippingP.S in regards to your comment in sams review if being a coward (or whatever name you want to call me for not poisoning myself with your food) then yes I am exactly that! Now I see how professional you are with your kindly written responses, it is a wonder why you don't prosper, I truly hope someday you are able to hear our criticism and improve because what I tasted over there was a GREAT OFFENSE to ramen. thank you

It was a sad/bad experience me and my friends were so exited of eating here, we ordered 3 ramen and none of them tasted good, the meat quality is very poor, We also ordered lemonade and to our surprise it was 95% water and 5% lemon.I'm not a ramen expert but it's one of the worst I've ever tasted.

I didn’t have anything that I would say is good

Twice now my family has arrived here during operating hours only to find them closed. Once on a Monday, the other on a weekend. Don't know what's up with that but it makes me not want to bother trying again...shame because I enjoyed it the one time I was actually served.Edit: I can't be empathetic if there's no communication. How about they tell me why they were closed during normal business hours? How about they tell me where I can find the real-time updates for business hours so I can come back and give them my business? Being sarcastic isn't gonna make me change my review or want to come back.

Came in on Sunday, wasnt expecting anything. My cousin wanted to get ramen so we found this place. Made a mistake and didn’t check the reviews. Once you walk inside the restaurant you get this weird aroma smell, kinda like someone’s dirty basement. Wasn’t busy at all, waited for our waitress to grab our order. Took her a long time considering we were the only ones there. We had to serve ourselves our own water. So far the service wasn’t the greatest and still couldn’t get over the smell. I decided not to judge them through their lack of service until I tried their ramen. All 4 of us got ramen, as soon I saw the waitress carrying our ramen I knew it wasn’t gonna be pleasing. Served us ramen in plastic bowls and plastic spoon. The broth was absolutely disgusting, and it wasnt even hot more liked lukewarm . The kimchi tasted expired, I knew if I kept eating my stomach was gonna regret it. My cousin somehow finished it, but later regretted it because he threw up the next few hours. Now I’m not the one to waste food, but I couldn’t bring myself to finish it. Barely ate it, just very angry I wasted 16 dollars. My advice would be to buy instant ramen. Would rather eat that and save money and I’ll put that on my life. I never write reviews, but I can’t let this one slide. Please save your money and don’t come here. I also see the owner responses to bad reviews and how he shamefully responds to them. You're an absolute embarrassment and you shouldn’t be allowed to cook ramen. Absolute disgrace to Japan.

I'm 53 years old, .. been around. This place has the best of everything: atmosphere, handmade cuisine cooked up by a knowledgeable Japanaphile., there's a small arcade with top choice games,.. (tron, joust, mortal combat..). House made everything. (Noodles, in house beer, and Sake.). Did it mention Sake?,...fresh Sake with brewers active yeast negori style.. best I've had in America! Thank you!

Great ramen and the yaki soba was tasty. Friendly staff. All plates were disposable and no ramen soup spoons available, I would’ve liked to finish my broth but it was difficult with a small plastic spoon. The Beer flight and sake varieties were fun and tasty. Overall, great flavors and a fun place to check out.

Was in the area and figured to try this place out. The hostess and waitress were friendly. We had the tan tan and tonkotsu ramen. The pork in my ramen was juicy, flavorful, bringing out the flavor of the broth and there was such a good portion of pork as well because some places like to be stingy with meats. Also the karaage chicken was ON POINT and super delicious with whatever the sauce it came with ♡ Fresh, perfect crunch and texture. I would eat here again whenever I am in the area again. :)

The only sake brewer in Pennsylvania. A quirky and unique restaurant with great food and drink. Located a cute town near the Appalachian Trail. Go for a hike, and then recover here.

This sake brewery and restaurant was recommended to us by Silverback Distillery as they are featuring a sake that is aged in their bourbon barrels. And now we are hooked! It was a perfect fall day that was just asking for an excuse to have a big bowl of noodles and broth -- Tonkontsu. Hubby got the double sake flight so we could try everything. We also had an octopus appetizer -- Tako Yaki. The spicy Yaki Soba was delicious with just the right amount of heat. The restaurant is cute with a cool vibe and the staff is friendly and will answer all your questions. Service was fast and everything we had was delicious. We will be back!
