“The young man who took my order over the phone was so polite on the phone, and even when I went in to pick my order up he was just as polite in person and had a smile on his face. Didn't get his name but has dark hair and glasses. He is definitely an asset to the business! Will be back for more of their food as have never had a bad experience there!“

“The food here is great but it seems weirdly over priced for what it is. That being said, this is a very clean store and it's always great for picking up a six pack and some gas. Parking is kind of slim if it's a full house but most of the time you can just pull right up to the store front.“

“Chill dive bar. The hot wings weren't very hot but they were crispy and not gamey. Their wing breading was unique, light and crispy. We ordered a small pizza with 3 toppings. The dough and sauce were sweet, which I personally do not like. But the amount of toppings was very generous. Service and atmosphere were good so we will be back but probably won't order wings again (just cuz lack of heat) and definitely wouldn't order pizza again.“

I went for the specials tonight because the chef clearly knew what they were doing. I was in the mood for something healthy and I opted for the sear tuna. It was perfect. So fresh. Then had the mushroom risotto which I just needed to try because of the vast amount of different types of mushrooms. Excellent if you love mushrooms. And not salty which is my favorite. I would recommend to the chef to add a piece of that toasted baguette (I think) so that people can dip into the mushroom sauce. A large fireplace and sitting room great you. A knowledgeable “more than bartender” will give you thoughts on the best beverage to go with your meal. I throughly enjoyed the Portobello ravioli with stroganoff sauce. Each bite was savored and the addition of fillet tips completed the dish. The Vina Robles Cabernet Sauvignon paired very well with both my dish and my wife’s filet. After finishing our meals we sat by the fire before heading home.Parking: You can park at the Getaway cafe on Rt. 30 and walk up the steps or in the lot off the higher side road.“

“This gem of a restaurant is well worth looking into. We were traveling on Route 22 East heading to visit family when we spotted this Restaurant in front of a huge auto dealership. It was mid morning and tired of those fast food chains so, we decided to stop for breakfast. Let me tell you we were not disappointed. 3 eggs, 3 strips of bacon or sausage, 3 slices of toast, hash browns or home fries for $9.99 and it was FANTASTIC! The eggs were cooked exactly as we wanted, the bacon was crisp and delicious and the home fries were cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding and the total atmosphere was warm and comfortable. We were very impressed with the food, the quality, and the quantity for the money. We arrived in Altoona PA did some errands and on our way to get back on Route 22 we spotted another Valley Dairy Restaurant. It was a mirrored image of the one we ate at in Blairsville PA. The food was again FANTASTIC, the service exceptional, very clean dining room and the prices were just as great as the food. So hoping they would open a branch in the MonroevillePA area. In searching I saw they had a few stores in the area but, just too far for us driving that distance was impossible everyday. Cmon Valley Dairy we need your excellence closer, my wife said we'll eat there everyday so she doesn't have to cook lol. I very highly recommend Valley Dairy Restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food, reasonable price, and super fast service.“
