This place is pretty amazing. Located in the historic Brinton Lodge, the atmosphere is so intriguing. It’s a walk through the past. I wasn’t sure what to expect when it came to the food, but everything we had was delicious. Cuban press sandwich, meatball parm, helios grilled cheese, cinnamon sugar pretzel sticks all did not disappoint. Now let’s get to the beers. The beers are the reason I came and they did not let me down. This brewery has the best double IPA’s around. Featured in the pics below are Bite Your Own Teeth, and then a 10 oz Fast Phase. We drove an hour to visit the brewery, well worth the time. If you are anywhere in the area, you must stop in and give this place a try!

One of the most unique breweries you're likely to ever go to. Really cool atmosphere and when the weather is nice, the outdoor area is lovely. Great people, great food, and some absolutely banger beers.

Amazing Strawberry IPA and great outdoor space!

Still in my humble opinion, the best small brewery in my little corner of the country.

The best beers and atmosphere of any brewery in and around Berks County!

I could not be a happier person having found this place. I was looking for a brewery to grab a quick bite, a beer, and to read a few chapters of my book when this place popped up in my Google search. Lord, did I find the most amazing gem in Hidden River Brewing. First and foremost, apparently it's haunted!? SOLD! The brewery is located in an old house that has significant history and I'm excited to learn more about this property. Advertised on the tables and at the bar was a Valentine's Day Ghost Tour (which sounds amazing). The outdoor seating looked huge with a large wraparound deck, picnic tables, and tons of seating. I can imagine they get crazy busy when the weather is nice. That was my first impression. However, when I walked in, I was STUNNED to find they had 2 bars with dining areas and...now wait a second for this...the most INCREDIBLE seating area with a fireplace, bookshelves, old decor, etc. I mean they really leaned into the haunted building thing. If you're the kind of person who has always wanted to sit in an old study in a mansion and read dusty old books while sitting by the fireplace, this place is for you. I cannot stress enough how cool this place is. If I lived closer I would be here several times a week. Okay, now we've gone over the ambiance - let's talk food, beer, and service. The bartenders were super helpful as a newcomer (order at the bar, take a number and put it on your table, etc.). Very friendly and attentive. The menu was small but in a good way. They know what they are doing in only having a handful of options - it means the kitchen doesn't get too backed up and food comes out promptly. Think a few paninis, sandwiches, and things to munch on. Nothing crazy. I got the Nosh Board (cheeses, meats, pretzel, and pickles) and it was larger than I expected. It came with a whole deliciously warm pretzel, 3 kinds of cheeses, and 3 kinds of meats. Honestly a lot more than I expected and perfect for sharing with the table as you enjoy the delicious beer. Oh yes, the beer. So good! I love IPA's and they definitely delivered. I can't wait to try others. Long story short, this is my new favorite brewery. I've told so many friends about it and look forward to coming back here time and time again. Plus, if you're driving from Philly like me, you can stop at the outlets on the way home. I can't wait to come back! Maybe for the Valentine's Day Ghost Tour??? We will see! Keep up the good work Hidden River!

Really fun place to have a beer and light meal. Very limited menu. But like everyone else says, you must have a soft pretzel.

Went here on a Friday night with my wife. Service is great, bartenders are cool, the little house that it's in is cool. The food is good but do to limitations with cooking the options are limited and expensive. There is a food truck that shows up but that's a separate business.

The best brewery in Pennsylvania. From the amazing IPAs to the wonderful staff. The Brinton Lodge always feels welcoming during any season.

This place was really awesome. Their beers are mostly IPAs, which I totally enjoy and their food is good as well. Their beer tender was exceptional and I'm happy my friend recommended dropping by here.

We used to really like this place. The food is a bit standard but good to have with a beer. Unfortunately they no longer allow dogs, which means we will not be returning.

Stopped in for a drink and lunch. Their food is very tasty. I enjoyed the beers as well, although I'll say most of their selection is IPA, so I only had a few others to select from. Bartender poured beer with care. The atmosphere was very laid back. Overall, I would recommend it.

Great beer and great atmosphere! The two bars are attached to the historic Brinton Lodge. You can grab some beers and then do a ghost tour in the house (Aaron is a great tour guide!) There is also a very spacious outdoor bar and eating area. The food is great, I suggest the pretzel and charcuterie board.
