Where do I even start....Place is gross, bathroom is gross, no AC/heat, food is gross, beer on tap is gross, they dont salt any of their sidewalks/ramps. Solid job Kelsey Oshay owner!
Food is just ok and service is definitely lacking. Appetizer was brought to us with no plates. We had to ask for plates and napkins, never got silverware. Asked for beer specials waitress did not have a clue. Won't be back.
Kelsey's is nice an the people were friendly, bar maids are very warm an inviting as well. I like to shoot pool so I go there to enjoy a few drinks an mess around on the pool tables??
Incredible Berks County Burgers
Friendly staff, great food, affordable
very friendly staff and delicious food
We went for St. Patrick’s dinner… the meal was gross, the service was terrible, the place was trashed outside. We’ll never return and we are not fussy or picky people.
Went there to have drinks and a bite to eat. walked in and there was a baby in a walker at the front door, asked for Margaretta and was told they did not have any sour mix, we sat outside at the bar and the Margaretta mixes (or whatever it might have been) had gnats swarming inside the containers, not to mention ants and other bugs all over everything sitting behind the outside bar. nothing was cleaned up or sanitized. The food was overcooked an just down right horrible, gave you the runs and an upset stomach. OH and the bathrooms smelled like SEWER!
Visited Kelsey O'Shay's while on my lunch break because there was a Groupon. I had my two kids with me and we had a nice time. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating to all of our requests. The establishment was very clean and orderly. Our food was delicious. We will be back :)
We have tried this place 3 times. Each time the owner and bartender could care less about service to customers. The wings are good but that’s it. All the other food is terrible! Now they are offering 50 Off on Groupon. Until they change the way they run their business and not have so many family and friends hanging out at bar. Don’t waste your money on Groupon.

I stopped by Kelsey O'shay's on a Saturday afternoon about 4pm. A buddy of mine and I were hungry...so although the initial signs were NOT good....we bellied up to the bar for a few beers and a bite to eat anyway. What a HUGE mistake...the experience went from bad to worse. The walk from the parking lot in to the restaurant (through the outside bar/deck area which was empty) looked like a wild frat party had just ended. Trash cans were overflowing with beer bottles and cans and there were half empty glasses still sitting on the dirty bar (I assume from the night before). We enjoy craft beer and they had two IPA's on draft to choose from. One was kicked....the other wasn't cold. It was not crowded at all ...yet there were crumbs all over the one side of the bar. Interestingly, those crumbs were still there when we left as the bartender sat on a bar stool doing nothing. The staff does not really give you a "warm welcome". And the bartender's sweatshirt was FILTHY...more filthy than the crumb ridden bar. Our luke warm beer was served in plastic cups even though pint beer glasses were stacked behind the bar. Neither drinks or food were served on any type of glass or plate.....plastic and paper is what you get. I get that if we were outside, but we were inside. But if the beer was cold and the food was good....I can deal with all paper/plastic. Unfortunately, the food came...and it was NOT good. Appetizers and meals were all placed in front of us at the same time. The food was lousy....every bit of it (and I am not a "food snob"....I LOVE good bar food). Breaded mushrooms....so-so, soft pretzel with dipping cheese....HORRIBLE, and the Brisket Sandwich with cheese was SO Dry I nearly choked (that warm IPA came in handy after all...had it not been for the warm IPA in a plastic cup, I may have needed the Heimlich Maneuver to dislodge dry brisket from my throat). You can get much better food at a low rent carnival. The bar itself has great potential with plenty of TV's, lots of space, and an outdoor bar/deck area that COULD be good....if it were not so filthy. I am going to blame staff laziness as the biggest problem with this place, and lack of a good cook as the 2nd biggest problem with this place. Beyond that...I would say they need a janitor or cleaning crew, a few lessons in friendly customer service, a dishwasher (so you can eat from a plate rather than a plastic tray with wax paper)... and a washing machine (for the filthy sweatshirt worn by the bartender). JimmyDinesOut tries to be fair and look for the best in any place that I go. This place presented a real challenge in that regard. I would have to say that the only good part of our visit is that since we were out for an afternoon of drinking....we were able to get a base coat of carbs to absorb the craft beer we planned on drinking (albeit BAD carbs). While that is NOT a reason to go to Kelsey O'Shay's...it is the ONLY "positive" thing I can come up with. We did not finish our food....we paid our bill and left as quickly as possible. JimmyDinesOut will not return. A much better option would be to pick up a 6-pack of ice cold craft beer and drive thru the local McDonalds for a Quarter Pounder in your car. Life is full of regrets....and deciding to stay and eat at Kelsey O'Shay's just made the Top 10 list of regrets for JimmyDinesOut.
Just right place. Next to the river. Outdoor. Good Irish menu. Drinks.
Neat bar hidden away. They have a nice outside bar and seating area as well as outside pool tables and a fire pit. Will come back at a later time to check out the night life.
An unprofessional staff along with less than appealing food makes for unpleasant lunch.
I was nice, I really like the new flooring and the renovations that are being done. Definitely a step up.
