First, I’d like to thank you for helping us out in a pinch. It was difficult to find a bakery that would do a custom cake with less than a weeks notice. My wife was very happy with the decorations and flavor of the cake and icing. We will be back, thank you again for helping us out in a bind. I love the cake as well, and have been sneaking pieces while no one is looking 😀

My friend, his three young children, and myself came here a few years ago while we were out and about in Downingtown. We had intended to purchase a tasty treat for the four of us, but were surprised to find little for sale. The saleswoman was annoyed that we wanted to purchase, and rudely informed us that they specialized in catering. As for the cupcakes we purchased, they were quite tasty but our sour experience prevented them from enjoying them fully. Despite the fact that it was several years ago, this whole experience has deterred me from visiting this establishment again.

Ordered 1/2 sheet cake for baby shower. Lemon cake with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting. Beautifully decorated and everyone agreed that it was delicious. Very friendly and obviously talented employees. Was not inexpensive but this was not some cheap store-bought cake. We highly recommend this company and will most definitely use them again for our next celebration. Picture was after daughter had sliced into it.

Parking: Street parking in front, and there’s a lot across the street. It’s a pay lot but we were only there for a few minutes.

After 62 years of being a church organist my mom retired and we had a special service for her followed by a lunch. I knew I was getting the cake from Bakers of Buffington and they did not dissapoint! Look at that beautiful cake with so much detail. When they opened the box to show me I cried! I knew my mom would love it and she did! Not only was is decorated perfectly it was delicious!! Thank you to Bruce and his team! Job well done!!

They are amazing to work with. Can’t wait to see our wedding cake this June! Amanda was amazing at our wedding cake consult. Listened to every idea and make sure she got everything down to capture our vision. She even made sure to help us figure out a grooms cake for my fiancé. The testing cakes were absolutely incredible and I love the fact that they give you tiny cakes rather than just slices. The prices for the testing cakes were very reasonable and the deposit for the wedding cake is not bad either. I was recommended to this bakery by a friend who had her cake done here as well and she said I had to get mine from here too. I’m so excited to see the finished products for these cakes! But this place definitely deserves 5 stars.

Ordered a 60th bday cake there and it was fantastic! They match exactly what we wanted, the flavor combination was flawless and they were helpful making sure I didn’t ruin it on my drive home.

One of the WORST experiences I have had during the wedding planning prosses and probably my whole life! We tried calling them for about 3 months before we gave up and then personally went to the location to schedule our cake tasting (they never answer emails btw). Once at the cake tasting, we were told to sit at a tiny table in the front area of the shop. A lady then came out and said, "Hi I'm here for your consultation, what kind of cake do you want". We were confused because we came for a 'cake tasting'. She then just gave us a photo book and said, "Look through this we will talk price later because it changes depending on design" without any kind of: "This is the base model" or "This is an example of what is included". We eventually picked a base cake we liked, then got our samples and left. We tried the. marble cake that night and when we cut it open we found 90% white cake (which was good and fresh) with 10% chocolate cake (which was extremely horrible - super dry - like it had been made a few days before the white part. Our full chocolate cake....was the EXACT SAME as the chocolate "mixed" into the marble. My other half got ahold of them and told them what happen, asked them to maybe remake our samples and the lady told him it would be the same result (as in unwillingness to even try to find out why/what went wrong) AND then told him the reason we didn't know what to expect was "because we had never been there before". Last time I checked (and asked at least 10 other people) MARBLE CAKE is a mix of the 2 batters and then made as one cake. Not a weird Frankenstein cake. I have had store cake that tasted better! I would have liked to privately and nicely solve the problem as we tried to do, instead, I have to put it in a review. Needless to say, the only thing they proved to me is that they DO NOT care about the feedback they get regardless of the "we will find out what went wrong" comments left here.Below is what the cake we were given looked like compared to the amazing cake we got elsewhere.

My husband is a cake snob and this is his favorite bakery by far. Their yellow cake with chocolate buttercream is the best —We’ve lived all over the country and we’ve never had a “must go to” bakery until we found this one!

I would definitely recommend Bakers of Buffington! Ordering was easy, the customer service was great and when it came down to designing the cake, they knew exactly what to do. I sent in a few ideas and they really went above and beyond. The cake was for my nephew and it came out better than I could have imagined. The cake artists are talented and extremely creative. I made this order from Texas and they were willing to deliver it as well. I am so pleased! Thank you for making such a beautiful cake. We will never forget it!
