Spoilt food. I am a regular here and pick up lunch meals often. Food was consistently good until yesterday. Sambar was spoilt and straight away smelled obnoxious. I get it that items like sambar are not made fresh daily but the owners and the chef should have the basic human courtesy to check for quality before selling it. Great Indian food and a cute robot waiter;)
I highly recommend Nalan restaurant at Downingtown, not only for their food but also as a party venue. They have an excellent team to help you plan the menu, prepare their banquet hall for the event and provide the staff for the event the whole time. Their unbeatable hospitality, delicious food and relaxing atmosphere made my husband’s milestone birthday extra special! And their reasonable prices won’t break your bank even if you’re planning for the big event. Worth visiting...read full review

Nalan Indian Cuisine is a popular and classy restaurant serving exceptional South Indian flavors with modern flair. The buffet offers a wide variety of options, including meat and vegetarian dishes. The restaurant boasts impeccable service and an authentic atmosphere. With a great selection of dishes, Nalan Indian Cuisine is a must-visit for aficionados of South Indian cuisine, promising a delightful experience every time.
The food is delicious, with complex and multidimensional flavors. The vegetarian options are plentiful and packed with lots of flavor. Customers have enjoyed the appetizer, main course, and dessert. However, one customer found the Dosa lacking salt and the Masala not great, something the chef needs to pay attention to. Another customer reported spoiled food, noting that the Sambar smelled unpleasant.
The service can be slow during busy times, and there have been concerns about the handling of silverware. One customer witnessed a worker dropping clean silverware on the floor and then wrapping and placing them on the tables for customers to use, which turned their stomach and made them hesitant to use the utensils. Despite these minor issues, Nalan Indian Cuisine remains a popular destination for those seeking an authentic and delightful South Indian dining experience.
