This place is iconic. It's a great family-owned restaurant with good food at an appropriate price and a great staff.They do tons of community work for veterans overall, the VA Hospital, and other businesses in and around Downingtown.I read some mediocre reviews that others wrote, and I wonder if those people actually took the time to remedy their meal on the spot. I'm sure things would have been taken care of quickly.

Honestly would never eat here again. Food was cheap so theres not much you could say/expect from the quality of it. However, thats not even the problem here. Sat at the bar and witnessed the cook touch every single piece of meat they serve with her bare hands. Not a sink to wash any employees hands in sight. Servers were asked to grab scrapple and other pieces of food to put on the grill after touching every dirty dish and surface in sight. I was in shock. The water tasted like it had a dash of dawn dish detergent at the bottom and everything was dry/overcooked. Cant complain too much because you cant expect much from this type of establishment but to all my germaphobes and clean folk who like their food to be sanitary do not eat here! Not sure how there aren't more negative reviews on here. Do not be fooled and save yourself the trouble by passing over this place!!

I want to the coffee cup on September 8th I got a hamburger and french the the lady behind the counter scratched her hair scratched her nose never washed your hands I confronted her and said I do not want the food because a which you did the owner looked at her and told me don't come back that is plain nasty I'm quite sure if he went out to eat and he seeing somebody did that and then wanted to serve him he wouldn't take that food that place is playing nasty so do not go there and eat
